It has the option for my wife to check whether or not to be issued a SS card. I have no idea.

It is not a good idea to leave any question on the form unanswered. It is asking you if you want a SSN automaticaly issued to her after her arrival in the US.

You have two choices 1. say yes you want a SSN and once your wife his in the US it should arrive in the mail in about 4 weeks OR 2. say no you dont want a SSN issued. Then once your wife has arrived she will need to complete the SSA5 form and then go in person to your local SSA office and apply for a SSN that can take anything from 2 weeks to 2 months.

lol i am so tired of researching and paper work, you guys understand so, to make it easiest sounds like the best idea is to say yes on the application. Just confirming your answer
