Hi !

I love this forum; there is a lot of useful information here ...

I have a conditional GC and my window to apply for I-751 started in June. I am in the process of gathering all the papers and assembeling the package. I just received my divorce decree (I was the one filing for divorce almost a year ago on the ground of abuse) and I am not sure what waiver should I write: good faith marriage or abuse or bouth of them explained in one long waiver?

If there is anybody that succesfully filed and got approved with a waiver, please let me know how many pages long was the waiver? (I just need to get an ideea).

I am really not good at this. I don't have any writer talent or skill (as you can see  ).

I appreciate any help and advice.

Thank you,

Anamaria

Hi,

Lots of people have been approved as waivers. So u don't have to panic. How long were u married? How much proof of good faith marriage ( docs) you got? Filing on ground of abuse, do u have enough supporting docs to show abuse( police report, medical). I am not a lawyer but I tell u what, if u have enough docs to support good faith marriage go ahead with good faith and this also depends on whatever reason you have for the divorce, or whatever reason given on ur divorce decree as to why you are divorced. Your case is different from anyone on this website, u can only gather info here and also follow instructions per filing requirements. All bills in both names, medical, bank statement , childs birth certificate, mortgage, insurance, any thing that shows you and ur ex shared life together or living. You do not need to write a book on what happened in your marriage or explain why you divorced. The divorce decree is enough to tell why you are divorced. Send your application in as soon as you can and start praying to whomever u believe in. Just don't panic , send everything you know will show proof of good faith marriage. I filed as a waiver in februaury 26th 2009 and was approved in june. 8th 2009. As I said every case is diff. My case is an example of anything can happen. I was approved 3 months and 2 weeks just like a regular filer. So don't panic. Good luck.
