"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Start with your resume. THere are some good examples on the internet if you have never prepared one before. It is a list of your past work experience, education and any special skills or abilities you have developed on or off of the job. It should be no more than 2 pages. Approach previous employers for a letter of recommendation stating your strengths as an employee. Decide what type of work you want to do here in the US, then go through directories like the yellow pages, job listings in the newspapers, online, etc. in your area and find employers or businesses in that field. If you can visit in person, do so and ask them for an employment application, complete that and include a copy of your resume and the recommendation letters from previous employers. You may also wish to attach a cover letter saying you are available for an interview at their convenience. Some places like most retail stores may just require an application form Be prepared to spend as much time looking for work as you would working - look at finding a job as your job right now. You may find temporary employment agencies a good place to drop off your resume as well. Be prepared to follow up any resumes or applications that you mail out with a phone call to ensure that they got it and to see if you can schedule an interview. Good luck.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

i don't have an EAD, i already got my greencard.

If you are looking for a great part time job with good pay and benefits, I'd recommend Costco if there's one in your town - most of them are under the union which is why they pay better than other retail chains. I'm sure there's plenty of different kinds of jobs but since you didn't state specifically. I worked there while I was in college. The hours are reasonable for retail (they close at 6pm on Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays) as well as being closed on national holidays such as 4th of July (which is practically unheard of in the retail business). Just an idea if you don't have any specific type of work. You don't need any specific skills - just work diligently.

i'm accounting graduate

All the more reason to apply at Costco - you could get in doing the book keeping. At least get yourself established until something better comes along. Do check them out.
