I am just north of Palm Beach in Jupiter. If anyone is nearby drop me a line. I have been in the US for coming up to 5 years now and am happy to help with anything I can, via email or over a beer.

CANNOT believe we moved into a rural area like this and found our nearest pub was a British one, amazing.

You will be arriving during the best part of the year. Temps will be down and there should be little rain.

I prefer the quieter areas so for me living 10+ miles outside of Palm Beach is better. Commuting is hell from what I can gather ( I work from home so don't know). Wellington is inland so a) insurance is cheaper (hurricanes etc) and B) the summers are hotter.

I wouldn't recommend living IN West Palm Beach. There are some horrible areas (Riviera Beach) and some VERY expensive areas (the island).

We are about 10 miles from the beach so get something of a breeze. Wellington will be a little more muggy.

Check out neighborhoods carefully. Moving a block can have you move into dodgy territory!

Property prices are falling quicker than you can imagine and FL is suffering as badly as many states in this recession.

There is little major business per se here other than legal and financial related.

In short the winters are beautiful (70s), the summers a little much (90s with high humidity) and the ocean stunning. Bahamas only an hour away too!

We are looking to head west in the spring. Probably inland CA, AZ or OR.

I grew ip in PBG and used to hunt off of Jupter farms rd (it was all woods then).. still have a great deal of friends and family there ..most in Stuart now... How long has that pub been there?

BTW.. I am on the other coast of Fl now...

It has been there about 3-4 years. Was a pub prior to that but a different them that I cant recall.

It is on Jupiter Farms Road, about a mile from Indiantown Road.

Not really what I would call a legit British pub but pretty good for here...

The closest they come to one here is a good irish Pub... http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3712957254

I wish it were closer or it was a Brit Pub.
