Hello everyone. My cause now at NVC for two weeks and I know is two early to tell if is in AP but I do see more AP in Cairo embassy this years.

1-in what stag the cause go for AP in NVC

2-what is the average time for AP

3-did the cause make any different at the embassy if male or female for the AP

4-What is the average time for NVC to complete the cause (I-130) and to be sent to Cairo embassy?

5-I did sent all the requirements they did ask for and NVC received them in Jun 24 2009 is any estimation when I get my interview

Ap can happen at any stage of the visa process... it can happen between NOA1 and NOA2 in NVC and after the Interview..

There is no way to tell you how long it lasts ... it varies from case to case.

I appologize for not being able to give you exact times but there are none...

They will normally tell you if you are in AP when you call

Your case can go into AP at any stage. There isn't a time frame either I'm sorry.

Here is a link to a thread of members who were stuck in, or are stuck in AP at NVC.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Call NVC and ask specifically if your case is in AP. The average time used to be 50 days (+/- on day), it has gone done quite a bit with people getting out in under 30 days on occassion.

If you do find out that your case is in AP at NVC, please visit the thread pinned in the NVC forum. I also wrote a VJwiki about AP at NVC that you can take a look at. It helps to know what you are dealing with exactly. IF you are in AP at NVC, it is pretty predictable and just a "bump" in the journey that costs some extra time. I also speculate that AP preformed at NVC will most likely save you from post interview AP

Good Luck :)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
