Maybe we could make 2 groups... one for ladies only, as it's certainly understandable that most muslimahs do not feel comfortable sharing everything in mixed company.... and one to include both men and women, to allow them to participate, too.

Is that a possibility, or just too much work ?

(Still not getting anything on IM or email, Sister Rahma.... I reconfigured the Yahoo messenger so it shouldn't be ignoring you.... not sure what might be the problem :crying: )

I joined the yahoo group yesterday thinking it was women only. It was wrong of me to assume that it was. I will hold off posting anything there until the gender issue is decided upon. If there are men there, I couldn't post pics or comment on anything personal.

Same here

It shouldn't come through your IM... you should get an email with a link to click. Maybe just check your yahoo email.

Thanks, Gimy !

But actually, it seems this particular snafu in not receiving the original invite was apparently my own fault

I would be glad to help out as well... you'd have to tell me what to do though coz I don't know anything about it.

I have been adding some links there but they take up a lot of room so I made a folder for the stuff I added.. so it doesn't overcrowd others but now I don't know how to move the links into that folder....

I think I sent a pm requesting to be added...I'll send again with my yahoo information :) I hope to join soon...

Also, I think there can be 2 rooms..one for women only..anyone who is familiar of the ways of the culture would know that we are unable to speak of some things in mixed company..I would love to be able to just talk about things freely and have feedback given freely as well. I would also like very much to be able to talk with other husbands (in another group) and see how they feel about their adjusting and all that stuff... so yeah, 2 groups would be much more beneficial. :)
