02/23/08 - Filed for removal of conditions.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

12/07/08 - Adopted the fuzzy feline love of my life, my Squeaky baby th_catcrazy.gif

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

VJ is for visa discussion. It seems we cannot have our "regional discussions" and sharing of cultural ideas amongst ourselves without all kinds of extra curricular criticisms (just like this one), so we are moving THOSE discussions elsewhere so we will not disturb or tempt others into such controversy and give Ewok a little peace. (Although I'm sure we will still kick around bits and pieces now and then.)

So regarding the sharing of visa information... and even MISinformation... we'll just continue on with that. ;) Thank you for your concern.

:yes: Sharing recipes, swapping tips on how to deal with arab men and talking politics are somethings that shouldn't need supervision of the authorities. Visa issues will still be dealt with here, but it would be nice to have a place to hang out where we could actually, well, be ourselves without someone trolling in.
