WE ARE ON ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW. MY HUSBAND GOT THE WHITE SLIP. I AM SO SAD AND BEEN CRYING ALL NIGHT. TODAY WAS MY BIRTHDAY AND EVEN THE CONSUL KNEW IT. THEY DIDNT EVEN LOOK AT MY HUSBANDS DOCUMENTS, ALL THOSE THINGS I ASKED HIM TO BRING. THEY JUST WANTED TO SEE PHOTOS OF US. EVEN THE POLICE CLEARANCE THAT WE WERE REQUIRED TO BRING AGAIN TO THE INTERVIEW (THE PAKISTAN POLICE CLEARANCE). HE SAID OUR DOCUMENTS WERE FINE AND THEY WERE COMPLETE.

HE SAID THAT THEY HAVE TO CHECK FURTHER SOME THINGS WHEN HE ASKED MY HUSBAND HOW OFTEN HE GOES BACK HOME TO PAKISTAN ( MY HUSBAND SAID EVERY YEAR FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS DURING SUMMER VACATION WHEN I AM OFF SCHOOL TO VISIT MY PARENTS). I WISH I WAS THERE AT THE INTERVIEW. BECAUSE WHEN HE SAID ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS ARE FINE THEN I WOULD HAVE SAID THEN WHERE THE HELL IS OUR VISA?

THE ONLY THING THAT IS OPTIMISTIC IN OUR CASE IS THAT THEY KEPT MY HUSBANDS PASSPORT AND THAT THEY TOOK HIS NAME, ADDRESS, EMAIL AND PHONE NUMBER SO THAT THEY CAN CONTACT HIM WHEN THEY SEND THE VISA.

HOW LONG IS THIS AND WHAT SHALL I DO NOW?

(OUR STORY: MY HUSBAND IS FROM PAKISTAN AND BUT HE HAS BEEN LIVING IN THE PHILIPPINES FOR 6 YEARS NOW. HE IS A MEDICAL DOCTOR STUDYING FOR HIS BOARDS TO PRACTICE HERE IN THE UNITED STATES. WE HAVE A SON AND WE BOTH MET IN THE PHILIPPINES. HIS INTERVIEW WAS ON SEPT. 25, IN MANILA EMBASSY PHILIPPINES)

My Fiance just finished her interview 9/25/09, and also the same thing occured AR, the white sheet with the only thing checked is wait till we contact you, AIR21 issued a tracking number, this is very confusing, but I am also optimistic since they kept her passport and she signed the 157K along with the CO....So I quess this now another waiting period again...If anyone has any suggestions please let me know?

Call the Embassy every other day to follow-up on your case.

Usually, Air21 will send your fiancee a text message if the visa packet is ready for delivery.

Tracking number? Did she pay any delivery fees? and they didn't ask for more documents? did they give a number to call to follow up? havent spoken to my husband in detail about the paperwork done after the interview but the only thing i know is they kept his passport. maybe your fiance and my husband were there at the same time!...but he felt like he was the only one with the white slip!

OK just called the 1-888-877-9888 and inquired about the AR the our Visa is in, I was told the all applicants recieve this white sheet and if no more documents are required then it will be checked "wait untill we contact you"and all applicants are under additional review.....I am not sure if this is the actual practice or this is just a general answer to my question??????? Reading other post on here it seems that this is not standard for additional review

Hi All!!!

I’ve wanted to post this but was kind of hesitant as I've read a lot of similar topics as this but here's my share of the Administrative Processing/Review Case.

I had my interview last May 22 and it went well... The Consul was very courteous and didn’t ask much. However, as we were ending the interview he asked me if I still have any business trips coming and all I could answer was that there’s none as my boss already knows about my personal plans. So he got a big stamp and marked my (still valid at that time) B1/B2 visa with “CANCELLED w/o PREJUDICE” then he pulled out a white slip and tick marked at the bottom box saying WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US. I asked him if there were any problems and he said there’s none and that I don’t have to worry about anything because I passed the interview. So I examined this white slip he gave and saw that there were no tick marks on the lacking documents part. So I asked him about the slip again and he said “just wait till you hear from us, your case is put under administrative processing and/or review.” He said my visa will be sent in a COD condition. So I left.

My question is what does it mean when a case is under administrative processing or review?... Is there a difference?...

I’ve read a lot of threads saying to wait because they usually process it after 6-8 weeks. Others would say call them every day or every other day or every week. We’ve already called once at the embassy call center and called Air 21. I’ve tried calling a number I saw on here that’s said to be a contact number at the embassy (Manila number) last July 3. It rang and an answering machine answered but when I dialed the local no one picked up. I tried to call the same number today but it seems like the line doesn’t exist anymore as I can hear a void tone.

Our case is already on the 7 week after interview date. Is there anything we can do to know our case status other than just wait?... Can anyone shed light on this matter? It will be most appreciated.

Sorry it’s too long a post… but hope you can share your inputs.

Hi Joyce/Jeremy!

I feel so sorry about your situation..as i've read your post here..i think i need to tell my interview experience w/c turn out to white slip and check here..wait until you hear from us..that my case requires further administrative processing/review.

Pre screener and CO was very nice and friendly..the pre screener ask affidavit of support,ITR (w/c i didnt give the co sponsor forms coz he didnt ask me)he ask my nbi clearance, cenomar, nso BIRTH certificate,baptismal..also along with the pictures, money remittances,cards..he ask me when we meet,if my fiance is divorced, how many kids in previous marriages, how many times we saw each other in person..and i know i did it well,so during my interview to CO he is very nice..he ask my name?how old i am..my petitioners name, when he start his job,..(w/c is i told him my fiance recent job)w.c is not written on his 129f form..coz 2008 he have 2 jobs..the one was written on his forms and the other one is not..first job he got it on october second on november..next he ask me if my fiance have previous cases w/c i said yes..and ask what it is..i said he have DUI's before..i know and im confident w/ my answers to both pre screener and CO..and at the end the CO told me that before they approved my visa need to wait my medical result from st.lukes.. i had my medical on 17th and 18th this month..and my interview is on 22nd..so give me white slip..im very sad that day..i dont even know what to do..when im out its like im walking in the air..like my mind is so blank..cant even think well..

So,when i go to window 37 he told me to wait my medical result w/c they expect that day..so he told me to go air21 to handover the forms..then went back to hotel..been crying a lot..im so worried..so on 25th my fiance called embassy and the operator says..our case is under review and it takes 6 weeks from sept.23...

I couldn't think why it takes too long..?until now im clueless whats gonna be happened..i miss my fiance too much..and he cant go here for now coz of work....so any vjr's here who got same situation as mine?im sleepless..been worried,i feel sad.. :(:(:(:(:(:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

THANX AND GOD BLESS TO ALL FROM HERE!and congratz who got their pink slip!!!
