How difficult will our interview be?

Hey again guys, I was reading on another thread in the K-1 forum about a guy who was introduced to his fiance by a family member and was going to engage her upon her turning 18, which would make for a short time between meeting and becoming engaged. Someone in the forum said that both of those would be red flags and that got me worrying about my case. Until now I had not been thinking about it, because me and my wife are completely and totally in love, and I thought that it would be so obvious and with our evidences, it would not be an issue. Well, here is my story, please tell me if you think it will be difficult or not.

I had never been married before, and in May of last year, my Uncle, who is married to a filipina, and knowing that I was unmarried and knowing my personality and my heart, called me up on the phone and said he wanted me to meet someone. I came over and talked with him and his wife and they told me a lot about her relative, who is her 2nd cousin. After they told me about her, I really became interested because of how active she was in her church (we are both strong protestants) and she called her up on the phone and we talked for the first time. Long story short, we talked, chatted, texted, and/or emailed each other every day for a month and a half, sometimes spending 4-5 hours talking on the phone. We fell in love very quickly, as this was the kind of girl I had waited for my entire life. So in roughly two months, I, my uncle and his wife, went to the Philippines to do some ministry work, and yes, to meet my future wife in person. Needless to say, our feelings were confirmed and a week after I arrived in the Phils. I asked her parents permission to marry me, so roughly two months after talking for the first time we became engaged. I spent three weeks there with her and returned to the US. When I got back, i started to assemble the K-1 package, and finally got it mailed off in November of last year, but after a couple of months, we came to the decision we just wanted to get married there in the Phils, so her family could be a part of it, and because we just flat out missed each other so much and couldn't help our feelings anymore. So I returned there in February of this year, and we married each other on the 27th of Feb, 10 months after meeting. Which, really isn't too bad, I know people here in the states who marry after knowing each other for far less time than that.

From the very first day we met, we have communicated in some way, we read together, she calls me every morning before work and I call her when i get home. We do devotionals together, pray together each and every day. My phone bills were big, 400-700 a month somtimes, until we got the magicjack. We have lots of emails, txts, and tons and tons of chat logs. I've sent multiple packages of gifts, I've sent her flowers many times, i've sent her money via western union in the begining, and then added her to my bank account and gave her an ATM and have supported her financially, emotionally, and spiritually through this process.

The ironic part is, there is a little bit of feud between my wife's and my uncle's wife's families, so the whole "red flag" reasons for denial of our visa don't even apply to us in reality. I didn't date much, I was choosy, and they knew this, and they knew my wife's personality and knew we were a perfect match. The only reason my uncle's wife introduced us was because they knew me, knew I was waiting for a woman like my wife to come into my life, and in fact my uncle's wife has taken grief from her own family for introducing me and my wife.

I have affidavits from family members attesting to my wife and mine's relationship and the bona fides of it... so given what i've presented here, what all do you think we need as far as evidence to satisfy the CO? I plan on being there at the interview, so what do you think our chances of denial are, or do you think it will go fine? If we are denied, what is the process after that? Like I said, I've never given this much thought, as me and my wife know the love we share, the emotions we feel for each other, and no matter how long this process takes, we will be together in the end, and I'll do whatever I have to do to be with my wife.

Thanks for your thoughts guys.

It appears you have plenty of evidence for an ongoing relationship. The interview should go smoothly unless the CO becomes suspicious from an answer. Hope for the best, but be prepared just in case.

Some people are put on Administrative Review (AR) or Administrative Processing (AP) after the interview while the Consulate makes a decision or looks more into the case. For this you generally must wait or supply more evidence if asked for something from the CO.

In case of a denial you will need to file a waiver. The MENA forum and Waiver forum here on VJ has a lot of info in case that happens.

Oh and one other tidbit of info. When I first talked to my wife for the first time, i was overweight, and in the years time since then, I have lost weight and gotten in shape. She has really made an impact in my life, and its very noticeable if you see my passport photo and then see me now. Do you think that could be a strong evidence too in the truth of our relationship?

Thank you very much, I appreciate the encouragement. I just know that when we go for the interview, I will bring along every phone bill, every chat log, and every scrap of evidence we can find that shows our relationship is true. Glad to hear it!

Oh, and not to mention the receipts for her engagement ring, our wedding ring, and our honeymoon heh. I do think we have so much evidence, I just need some encouragement. We've been missing each other so much, and hope to be able to actually get on with married life together soon. Thanks for the support guys.
