Mary had no idea who Vito was. Turns out Spizzuto Construction is only one of his family's businesses. He also owned the candy factory that Ted used to work for, so when he called her offering her a high position at the corporate office, she giggled in delight and accepted.

She didn't realize that Vito was Larry's brother. Larry Spizzuto. Yeah, remember, she used to lick his beaters.

Vito wants her dead. Coincidence? I think not.

And indeed... when Mary showed up at the home office of Spizzuto Inc, she was tailed by the Ozfest cast, whom opened fire on Spizzuto, Inc's armed workers. Down there they know how to take care of things.
