Hi everybody,

has anybody an idea how to get heavy stuff like books etc. from Europe to the US? Is there any cheap way to send it? I live in Germany and the German Post office is still a monopol and it soooo expensive to ship the stuff over.

I look forward to get some responses from you.

Unfortunately the most airlines have changed from 2x32kg to 2x23 kg. This is a big difference and I do not know what to do with all my stuffy. :blush:

Well, what my family and I did when we came to the US was to leave everything at my grandma's house and everytime we went to visit, we would bring something back with us :lol: Sorry, can't think of anything else.

03-17-07 - Transferred notice e-mail

03-20-07 - Received TSC transfer letter

03-21-07 - application pending at TSC e-mail.

05-14-07 - Misinfopass appt. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.

06-05-07 - I-131 e-filed

06-11-07 - AP NOA1

07-09-07 - Received weird looking letter for AP, but online status hasn't changed

I know UPS and FEDEX for a package around 50 lbs is going to cost you roughly 400 dollars :( US that is .. but that is for regular 3-5 day shipping.. you may want to try an international mover.. they can be pricey but depends on what you need to move . Below is one that I have heard of before.

Ask at your post office for the 'book rate" or "printed materials". There is a slow boat way to send books that is less expensive than regular post or any other way my family has found. My dad has been posting books back and forth to Europe for years---he has a serious book problem. ;)
