I am woundering if this is a requirement or not. School documentation or school records. We have been told that we need these but I don't see or have read anyone here mentioning them. I didn't relize what she was working on till she was complaining about some school adminastrator being away or unreachable to get the records she needs. School records are not required by the USEM..it could be required by DFA to get a passport if you don't have valid identification.

ah ok. She is getting a new passport. and a postal ID. must be a requirement for that then.

Thanks for the reply. a little clearer now

also suggest to have a hand written letter of proposal and a hand written letter of support for the cfo. does any of that make any sence? No problem to do either just more new information I am getting want to weed out the real from the fiction.

The main reason to bring school records, baptismal records, etc, is if the CO has any question as to whether or not the BC, CENOMAR, and NBI clearance are authentic. Chances are you probably won't need them, but it does not hurt to have such extra identification available. It has happened to some of the folks here on VJ. If you have a late BC, or anything else that could cause you problems, them I would recommend the back-up just in case.

:thumbs::thumbs: yes i forgot about that. I had late birth registration and my kids was bringing the biological father's name but was not asked of this school records maybe because the evidence i submitted was convincing enough to prove what needs to be proven.

If your fiancee has late birth registration or has inconsistency in her birth certificate (or does not have BC on record), she will be required to present additional documents like school records, postal ID, baptismal certificate, affidavit, etc.

When applying for passport, she must avoid mentioning that she is intending to migrate or marrying a foreign national because the DFA will require a CFO certificate. CFO will then request documents like your SSN, copy of your passport, affidavit of support, letters, your divorce decree if you were previously married and other support documents.

We always say that when initially applying for passport, put the purpose of travel as "TOURISM" and destination as "HONG KONG" or "SINGAPORE". This way, there will be less requirements. Your fiancee can then apply for CFO certificate anytime after the passport is released. Note also CFO requires less documents if visa is already stamped in the passport.
