If it is any reassurance, I know a couple of people who had to wait for the consulate to get around to calling after their checks were done (one took like a month). Sometimes they seem to call right away, and sometimes they sit on it. No rhyme or reason like everything else with this consulate.

I hope the call comes very soon!

I try to avoid jumping into the arguments here, your remarks to Chi are totally out of line. I don't think there is anyone else who would possibly read into her original message what you have read into it. This is a pattern with you, all under the pretense of advise and supposed concern. You even go so far as to post her name when she obviously chooses to use her member ID.

The comment about God not being in her mind out of line

I think God and Chi know what is in her mind (yours and mine too).

I will now bite my tongue and got back to my usual silence on this forum.

Shows how much you know, I didn't even see this someone I care about showed me this posting in VJ. And I felt I had to speak up since it's harder for others. I want to defend this friend but also want to help Barbara so she can come to some peace and see she's only letting herself be overcome with bad feelings. It was wrong the way Chi worded her message, but the sad truth is she's hurting herself most of all. I pray she can try to let the evil negitive thoughts not hurt her so much and to let God help her through this process and give her, her husband. If you can't see what I was trying to do, then that is your problem not mine.

About using her name, why should someone hide their name, especially when they are saying nothing they are ashamed of? That goes for all of us.

P.S. Plus some of the people that helped me the most were people that were honest with me and didn't hide the truth and just come out swinging until I came to my dumb senses again. I was trying to help and I don't care if you can't see the truth.

Some help is like a boa constrictor as a scarf. I reread her original post, this isn't a post of jealousy, she is merely trying to find a reasonable amount of time to expect her case to be settled.

We all have a right to our privacy. Please don't take that away from us if you know our names. Its our right to keep it private as it is your right to say your name.

Please Paula, not everyone appreciates being hit on the head with a bat. What you read in her post is very different than what others read. Chi is just frustrated and needing reassurance, not a bashing. Please lighten up your judgements a bit for the sake of a peaceful message board.

I think we all know what a wonderful kind person you are. You have been right beside me since the beginning of 05. I waited with you for the good news of his approval way back then and will be right here waiting for word of his approval on his second interview. I wish I had all the answers for you because I know the long journey you have been on and how you have been such a comfort to many of us and you continue to be the same caring person trying to make sure we all do as much as we can to be ready. You cheered Abdou and I on and shared in our joy before and now. Thank you. Your time is coming and I pray it is soon. I don't post that often on here any longer because like others, I'm seeing a downward trend in the support. I guess the saying is true that birds of a feather fly together if your friend "read" the same thing into Chi's post that you did. Perhaps she is the same person on here that has accused some of the sweetest VJ members of not being happy for her in the past when no one else read those messages that way.

You continually post these types of replies to the women who have had their petitions returned to the USCIS. You claim support but imply it is their fault. These women most of all need our support. They certainly come back and lend it to others who find themselves in that unfortunate situation and support all of us in our successes. I don't know what your issue is with them but I think it is unfortunate that you feel the need to bring it to this forum.

I am SO glad you brought this up. I was going to respond to this initially but decided it was best at that time to not respond. It seems on the internet anything is fair game, whether there is a TOS sitting "out there" to protect us or not. It didn't stop someone from visciously, personally and publically hurting board members here recently. I think that it should really be respected if someone doesn't choose to divulge all their personal information here, whether it is shared in confidence or not. If I ever slip up, I hope someone brings it to my attention IMMEDIATELY. It's unfortunately that things have to be this way, but everyone has their level of comfort.
