Adding TickerFactory

Hello!

Please direct me to where I can learn how to add "Ticker Factory" or other things like that to my signature.. I see so many people with things added and I am feeling a bit left out! I have tried a variety of things- but it always shows the actual code...and then I have to go back and delete it again.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

www.tickerfactory.com there are a few others as well, you might want to check them out and see if you like what they have. also some have it where you can make your own, or add a pic(like i did on mine) i think you'll find what you want at one the sites (ishnallah), if you look at people signitures, and write the site in your browser(not all you can click on) you should be dericted there. good luck and god bless

Thanks- I am sorry I didn't explain my question better. I do not know how to take the coding from the site and put it onto my signature line here at Visa Journey. Each time I do it ends up just showing the actual link- and not the timeline I made. It is very frustrating.

Does anyone know if there is a place on VJ that explains how to do this? I am sorry I am so technology-challenged!

Assalam-o-Alaikum,

It's very easy sister. From ticker factory. The final thing will be an image. so what you have to do is, make sure you tags/code is there. So in the final code remove everything except keep the opening

[img= and ending ] tags

tags. Example here

[url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]
[img=http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/..../event.png]
[/url]

so I removed the beginning

[img= and and ending]

and had only opening tags. You can know more about adding things like this by clicking on "BB Code Help" which you can find in the message text box ( when you reply to a post or add a new or edit your signature). That "BB Code Help" will open up a pop up window for you and will list different examples of code you can add etc.

Updated one with correction... Read below.

Assalam-o-Alaikum,

It's very easy sister. From ticker factory. The final thing will be an image with a link. so what you have to do is, make sure your tags/code is there. So in the final code remove everything except keep the opening

If you are copying from tickerfactory, make sure you are copying from bbCode: section. If you are copying from other websites they might or might not have bbCode section, they might have post to forum etc and might have link for the image as well so do the same if they only have link like

http://www.somewebsite.com/image.png  or http://www.somewebsite.com/image.gif or http://www.somewebsite.com/image.jpg

copy that code and add it to your signature but add

 opening [img=tags  and ending ] tags

and see it if works for you or not.

Thank you for the detailed response!! I really appreciate your time! Sorry for taking so long to write back- I will try this today- although I am not quite clear on what a "tag" is... I will play around with it though using your examples.
