How Much Does This Cost?

Is the cost of filing a K1 and who I write the check to some closely guarded government secret?

I have spent forever getting all the paperwork. I spent all day assembling the packet. All I need to do now is write a check and send. But, I cannot because I don't know the cost or who to write the check to. I have checked everywhere I can think of. I have checked everywhere I could on this site - guides, forums, etc. I have checked all the government sites. I have searched the internet. I can find nothing. My head is now going to fall off )))

I would be eternally grateful if someone can simply tell me how much and who I write the check too. And, just out of curiosity, I would also be grateful is someone could point me to where I can see this info just because after hours of searching I am very curious.

From page 5 of the I-129F instructions:

The filing fee for a Form I-129F is $455.00.

Use the following guidelines when you prepare your check or money order for the Form I-129F fee:

1. The check or money order must be drawn on a bank or other financial institution located in the United States and must be payable in U.S. currency; and

2. Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security, unless:

A. If you live in Guam and are filing your petition there, make it payable to Treasurer, Guam.

B. If you live in the U.S. Virgin Islands and are filing your petition there, make it payable to Commissioner of Finance of the Virgin Islands.

C. If you live outside the United States, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, contact the nearest U.S. consulate or embassy for instructions on the method of payment.

NOTE: Please spell out U.S. Department of Homeland Security; do not use the initials "USDHS" or "DHS."

Thanks! It was driving me insane. I completed that form forever ago so I don't even have the instructions anymore and I didn't remember seeing it.
