i will explain my situation which will help you guys come up with a better answer for the following question

My fiancee will have her interview soon. We have a son that passed his CRBA and got his passport and everything. Basically he's a US citizen, i will be filling out the I-134 form soon and need your inputs.

here is the link to the I-134 form

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-134.pdf

should i put my son as a WHOLLY dependent or PARTIALLY on number 8? whats the differences between those two?

also my son goes in number 8 on the form only right? what about number 3?

Sorry, the background you gave doesn't really help much. "Wholly dependent" means the person derives basically 100% of their support from you (i.e. his only money is money you give him). "Partially dependent" means he derives only a portion of his support from you. Not sure if the percentages are defined anywhere (I haven't looked), but here are some clear examples:

(1) Your college student child whose tuition (even with finanical aid) is paid by you and to whom you send spending money is probably WHOLLY dependent.

(2) Your graduate student child whose rent you pay, but nothing else is PARTIALLY dependent.

Cali, same answer that you received in your other thread: wholly. Meaning he is 100% dependent on you for support. Whole = 100% Partial = less than 100%.

Son is USC and not listed in #3.

My son is only a few months old, the examples you gave is going to be in the future. I guess i'll put him as WHOLLY. I dont think neither will help decrease the amount of income they're asking for , for a household of 3.

Good luck.

By the way, sounds like your son was a citizen upon his birth (so not basically a citizen, but is one). Assuming you've lived in the U.S. the requisite number of years (something like 4 with 2 after the age of 14 - I can't remember though that's just off the top of my head), he was a citizen upon his birth. The CRBA and passport are just for documentation purposes. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

what about question # 11? I intend to / not intent to support financially?

i mean, whole point of I-134 is that you will support the person. so should i check 'i intend to' and then write 'for all expenses' in the description? is that the best way? its for my fiance and we'll be getting married and living together.
