Congrats ... that's fantastic ... :star: (please post some of the Q's they asked - I'm freaking ... :crying: )

OR ... duh, Deb ... have you done a review yet??

It was surprisingly quick, He asked,

How we met,

What he does for work,

He asked me to tell him about his Family,(sister's, were they live etc) um what else, What his parents do for work, (I didn't know the exact job, just a general idea, but I think he asked that because he lives with then and we'll stay there until I can work)

Where we would live together,

When I would leave,

Stuff you tell everyone who asks about moving to the other side of the world for love. I was listening to other people's interviews and the people who got asked more Q involved children or past marriages and that was more dates and stuff, and how other family members felt about kids moving.

As long as you have all your info with you you it will be fine. I was really nervous but it was nice and they were really polite and thanked me for waiting, which made me laugh, I think it was 30mins wait, I would have waited there 2 days if I had too.

YAY!! Congrats!! I think we all understand how you feel now you have NOA2. For a while there you can't help but think "have they forgotten about me??" but now you're just SO close to being all done with it :)

1. Nope :)

2. Just the letter from the banks and job. If it makes you feel better to take them though (the payslips or tax returns or anything else you have), take them to the interview, they're not needed but just in case they ask (which I honestly doubt!)

3. DS-230 Part 1 yep. Part 2 isn't needed and yes you can send it all together :) That's what Astrid AND Terri did I believe. My stuff took a little longer to come together. You should hear about your interview a couple of (business) days after you send P3 back.

4. About 3 weeks when I was booked in. I think Terri got it in like a week or something. So honestly I think it's anyone's guess, probably 2-3 weeks though.

Congrats again! Very exciting. You're nearing the end :)

**Edit - now would also be a good time (if you haven't already) to get all the relationship evidence together. Like phone logs, chat logs, emails, letters, photos etc. If you're anything like us they probably won't even look at them but you know if you don't have it they'll wanna see it :)

Also, start looking into hotels in Sydney unless you live near enough to stay/drive. I wouldn't personally fly in the day of the interview. There is FAR too much stress involved if your flight gets cancelled, and then delayed twice making you over an hour late for your interview :S

Thanks so much for the reply Vanessa!

We are so exited now. I really want to call the NVC to see if our case is there but im trying to hold out a few more days (i barely have any patience left in me!)

We should hopefully have all the required documents ready by the time we receive packet 3, so i think i will send it all in together along with the DS-230. And for the I-134, i think we are just going to take the letter from the bank, letter from the job, and pay slips. Im hoping i can definitely get my interview by the end of June becuase it is my fiance's birthday the first week of July and i really want to be there for it :)

So when we send back packet 3, do we send in the I-134 and our medical results, or do we take these to the interview with us?

Thanks for all the help!

I sent everything in the envelope when I sent packet 3...I also used the express post platinum to get it there. I made sure I had every piece of evidence known to man when I went to interview. On one of the forms you need to send back with Packet 3 it asks when you hope to leave...I specified April 18th (my birthday) so I dont know if that had any baring on my quick turn around for interview as it was only 2.5 weeks away at the time BUT it doesnt hurt to let them know when you do hope to leave. They also ask you on the interview day when you hope to rejoin your fiance (well they asked me)

Here's my p3 document:

The I-134 is part of P3 so you send it all too. Basically all you take to the interview is your passport, visa fee receipt, envelope and relationship evidence. I also took a copy of everything I'd ever sent, "just in case".

Good luck :)

Hey guys,

Vanessa - thanks for uploading your P3 for me :)

Does anybody know how to track your petition to see when it arrives at the consulate? The NVC told us that our case left for Sydney on the 26th May. I tried using some instructions i found somewhere else on visa journey to track using the DHL site, but it didnt work for me. Can anyone help?

Thanks so much! :)

Hey Everyone,

Sorry that i keep bugging you guys but i have another question :)

Vanessa - You told me in an earlier post that when i immediately send back form DS-230, i only need part 1. When i open the form DS-230, it includes both part 1 and part 2. Do i just fill out part 1 and ignore part 2? Or do i fill out the entire form, part 1 and part 2, and send it all back?

Thanks so much for your help! (L)

Never bugging us :) It's all part of the learning process :)

Part 2 is used for CR1 and K3 visas (people who are married) so you can just ignore it.

Back when I did all mine I wasn't sure, so I completed it and took it with me to the interview "just in case" but I was never asked for it at any stage so I wouldn't even waste your time with it :D

Hey lovelies,

Stress central at my house tonight! Looks like Sydney finally have our goodies from the NVC, but in reading the I-134 FAQ section of the Guides, I'm a little confused - it asks for all the original documentary proof from the I-129f. Does that mean that Matt needs to send me all of his originals.. his birth cert, passport, things like that? Seems a little bizarre, so any advice would be fantastically helpful. Thank you so much in advance!

Hey Zoe -- Matt does need to send you ALL the original documents for the I129F. Eric put together the original packet & mailed it to me -- though only copies of the birth cert/passport for him.

Hey guys,

I am very confused now!

What do you mean by we need all the oroginal documents of the I-129f? Do you mean we need to have the I-129f form and the G-235A etc to take to the consulate aswell? How do you get the oroginals of these when they were sent to USCIS? Do we need all this for the I-134?

I am so confused, any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks (L)

You don't "need" any of that(taking it just in case is a difft thing). It was all sent with the I-129F packet. You should have a copy for your records but they won't ask for any of it at the interview.

The I-134 only needs the bank letter and work letter. Those should be originals. No birth cert or anything like that is needed for the I-134 because he is the petitioner and has already supplied that information to get it to the "visa application" stage.

Hope that helps :D

Thank you for your advice, Terri & Vanessa! Matt will be sending originals for the I-134 (bank statements as well as the other proof he is using) and a copy of the original I-129F package. Going by your post Terri, can Matt just send copies of his passport/birth certificate? I suppose it goes against everything we've ever been told when we're asked to send such important documents away :)

Hey everyone! Thanks for all of the info provided in this forum.. it's been so helpful! Paul and I got our NOA2 recently so have begun prepping to receive the Packet 3. He went for his medical exam and police record check today.

Just a heads up.... when going for the police record check... make sure to bring proof of current residence. He forgot and had to make a mad dash to get a document at the last minute. I didn't remember reading about it.. nor did he.

So far so good... excited to be amongst such great company here at Visa Journey.

Thanks!

PJ
