on the forms to attach it's pages together, yes. If it was just an attachment like birth certificate then no. I bulldog clipped the packet together though.

Well hi everyone -- today I went for my medical with Dr Anthony Millar in Sydney. Let me just say it was the most pleasant experience thus far. His receptionist, a lovely woman named Pat, was extremely helpful and a wealth of information. She had everything ready to go when we arrived. You will need 3 passport photos for the medical. Under the MLC Centre there is a Kodak store, they do them ($18 each set of 2 photos) in a 20 minute window. I also paid the extra $3 to have them emailed to me at home so I had them for the interview phase.

**You do NOT need your case number for Dr Millar to do your medical BUT it is only valid for 12 months & you need 6 months validity when you enter the USA**

The medical was fairly straight forward and painless process. Dr Millar had me answer some questions followed by changing down to my underwear & the glamourous paper gown. He then had me get on the scales, checked my height, had me bend & touch my toes, bend backwards, to the left, to the right. Stand still, bend my neck to the front & back. Look forward, look left, look right. Stand against the wall, cover one eye & read the bottom line, cover the other eye & then read the same line backwards. From there it was out to Pat, pay for the medical ($209 each person) they take cash, cheque or credit card because I paid via visa.

I then went the the 1st Floor to have the Xray done (once again they take eftpos -- $65 non claimable through medicare) while waiting for this I went to the 2nd Floor to have the blood test ($31 also non claimable & can pay via eftpos facilities) After the blood test a simple stop by Xray to pick up your films, back to the doctors room where Pat looks over the report, takes one of the copies & tells you to keep your films for 12 months, you MUST have the films in your luggage at POE and that she will mail out the results as soon as the blood work comes back (usually within a week she told me)

So a summary of costs for Sydney Medical through Dr Millar in Macquarie Street:-

** Medical Consultation - $209 -- payable by cash, card or cheque

** Xray - $65 -- payable by cash or card (unsure about cheques) also not claimable through Medicare

** Blood Test -- $31 -- payable by cash or card (unsure about cheques) not claimable through Medicare.

US Size Passport Photos -- Kodak In the MLC Centre at base of stairs -- $18 for 2 (you NEED 3 for the medical) $3 for them to email you a copy for future use.

Overall it was a great day and I also got to spend some valuable time with my daughter whom I have not seen a great deal of lately because of the late nights spent at Westmead Childrens Hospital with my son on Dialysis.

Hope others find this useful :)

Great info Terri :D I will probably go see Dr Miller as well especially now that you have said you had a good experience.

Just one thing though for those having trouble getting their American Size Pictures. You can do this yourself free! (Almost free, will just cost you the price of a print from Kmart) With a program called ePassportPhoto.com. Here is the link.... ePassportPhoto.com

TO GET AMERICAN SIZED PHOTOS (2IN BY 2IN) JUST CHOOSE AMERICA AS THE COUNTRY AS OPPOSED TO AUSRTRALIA. I saved the end product which was 5 perfect 2inched sized photos (I took and chose myself) to my camera SD card and printed it out at Kmart for just cents. I also used this program for my passport picture but used Australia as the country obviously. :D

When you say "damaged" what do you mean? how damaged? Cut/ripped open enough to fit more than 2 fingers inside?

Congrats!!!!

Super super fast from here. Took ours three weeks to get to the consulate after we received the Noa2. So happy for you!

Question for everyone. Damo didnt make a copy of his medical when he got it before his interview. Since he is leaving Aus in two weeks does he need to go by the docs office and ask for one for our AOS?

Today is is last day of work, he keeps texting me he cant believe it. lol. Im getting excited, I dont think it will really hit me that he will be here with me for good until I'm driving to the airport to pick him up. Feels like a dream.

Yes, He should get a copy. You need to send in either a copy of the vaccination sheet of his medical, or the vaccination supplement (which uses that sheet) when you do AOS. They should give it to him if he asks them :)

I found this which I thought was really interesting and helpful for those wondering where their cases are, like Terri for example who should be receiving P3 soon. Let me know if it works for you :D

------

The NVC uses DHL to ship their packages. Once you confirm the date that the I-130 was sent, you can go on the DHL website to approximately track your case. There are forums here talking about it but I'll sum it up below.

1. Go to: http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef

2. In Reference, enter the info as follows:

EXP DD MMM YYYYA

EXP is constant

DD is the date before the day the NVC said they shipped the case.

MMM is the three letters representing the month the NVC shipped the case

YYYY is the year the NVC shipped the case

A is constant

For example, if the NVC says they shipped the case on February 12 2009, this would be entered as "EXP 11 FEB 2009A"

3. Date range for shipment - From: Enter the date of the day NVC said they sent the case

4. Date range for shipment - To: Enter todays date

5. Keep the rest of the fields blank

7. Once you enter the info, press "Track"

8. After a while you will see a list of all of the packages that left the NVC today. You need to search for the specific consulate.

9. When you find the shipment the corresponds to your consulate, you will see the tracking number that you can record.

10. You can then track the shipment from the NVC to your specific Consulate

I used this to track my package from NVC to SYD. And it does work! You have to play with the dates a little bit to get the correct info, but it's worth it to feel a little bit closer to our cases :) Once you find what you believe to be your package, you can sign up for email alerts to see when it makes it to the Consulate.
