Hey gang, got my photos done, alas, it cuts off the top of my head, do you reckon this will be a problem.

As an aside, went to the cricket today, amazing, I'm going to miss that!

Me too. The husband doesn't even know what Cricket is.

A Q if anyone could help - I was copying my passport yesterday with my entry stamps and noticed that my latest stamp has an entry date but no expiry like the others. I think the I-94 was stamped because I remember it when I pulled it out when I left. This won't be a problem, will it and it might not even be noticed, right? Am I stressing over nothing because I have already handed in my I-94. It's just weird.

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR: (dd/mm/yyyy)

18/09/09 - CR1 NOA1

16/07/10 - POE LAX (256 days NOA1 to interview)

27/09/10 - Aussie/American bun in the oven due May 10, 2011

06/01/11 - Submitted change of address online to USCIS. Mailed I-865 for sponsor. Neverending!

05/05/11 - Bouncing baby boy arrives

10/07/12 - Sent I-751

13/07/12 - I-751 NOA1

I think it will be an issue to be honest. Double check the photo requirements here: http://canberra.usembassy.gov/consular/vis...20Checklist.pdf it says " Make sure photo presents full head from top of hair to bottom of chin; height of head should measure 1 inch to 1-3/8 inches (25 mm to 35 mm)"

Sorry. Looks like you'll have to go back again :( I paid $30 the first time 'cause I couldn't get it right :( I had mine taken in a photo booth (photo-me I think it was) because it was the only place that offered that size. Awesome thing was you could take multiple shots and pick the best. I've never taken such good pics. It's a miracle booth ;D

It won't matter I'm sure. They can just count forward the number of days you were "allowed" and there's the expiry day. For your records though (like after the photocopy) make sure you add a note saying when you left so you don't forget (maybe write in pencil? I don't know if that's allowed but that's what i'd do). You did what you're supposed to do in handing over the I-94 and that's what matters.

I had that issue too. Turns out that for the American pics my whole head (including ears, hair chin) need to be inside the circle. For aussie pics, just the face needs to be in the circle. it's weird.. but it takes AWESOME pics :D love how my eyes look in them. Up to you whether you print them or get them re-done. It DOES cost a lot... but honestly the pics I had taken at the post office were AWFUL **shudder**

As for the number... the doc I linked was from 07. Ignore the number listed and go by what you know :D

They'd be good pics if they printed what the screen actually showed. Ugh, just so much effort for something so simple. It sucks that they've got the monopoly on this.

Oh I didn't know you could choose which photo you want to print at those photo booths....I haven't used one for years. I got my sis to take my picture at home because when I got the photo shop to take my passport picture a few years ago it looked like a mugshot (even after several attempts and $20 waste) and I wanted the US consulate to have a nice picture of me and not one where I look like a crim  I went down to the Kodak store, cropped it to the right size and printed 4 x 2" x 3" wallet size photos. I trimmed it to 2" x 2" when I got home. Only cost $2.50 for 4 photos and I looked beautiful. Lol.

Big W use to have the option of US size passport photos on their photo machines (I remember it when I was printing out photos for another visa about two years ago) but my local store has different machines now which don't have it (darn it)......would have been so simple then.

Hi I was just wondering exactly what is 'required' as in attachments eg tax returns, payslips etc with the Aff Of Support - I can't seem to find a definitive list/answer on the US consulate website, I know the answer is probably within this forum somewhere so i apologize for being lazy but would appreciate any assistance greatly

Cheers,

Michael.

It's listed in the form instructions here: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134instr.pdf

I would type it but it depends on if your self-employed etc. It's marked under "general instructions" on page 1.

Good luck :D

p.s. Most forms come with instructions, here's the form list. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD You simply click on the form you want and it gives you what you need, whether it be the form , or form and instructions, or mailing info etc.

Hi Michael! For the affadavit of support I had my last 3 years of tax transcripts, they are free from the IRS, the phone number to request them is: 1-800-829-1040.

It will take two weeks to get them back but if you have those you will not need your W2s, just those transcripts for the interview. When you talk to the IRS agent, just request the tax transcripts for the given years you want. For me it was 2006, 2007 and 2008. Also I printed out or you can copy the last three latest paycheck stubs, my paychecks are direct deposited, so i just printed them off my work website, i also highlighted on my bank statements those corresponding checks being deposited into my checking account. Dont forget your Employement letter and have your boss sign it. I got the letterhead from my boss brought it home, typed and printed it out on the letterhead myself and just had him sign it. Alot less stress if you do it yourself instead of waiting on them to do it for you. Here is the guide from VJ on how to write your employement letter, I used this exact format and it passed with flying colors:

Basically, your employer letter should state "To whom it may concern: (first name, last name) has been employed

full-time with the XYZ Company since 200_ as a (name of your job), and is an employee in good standing with an

annual salary of $XXXX. Signed, John Doe, Supervisor (or whatever title)" The letter should be on company

letterhead.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Jules

You are my hero right now. I didn't know about the IRS transcripts being free, or the number. This makes me really happy! I'm going to write an Aff of Support entry for AOS now based on your advice so thanks :)
