Congrats Nat!

I've flown VAustralia and thought they were excellent as well.

2 weeks until the interview!

Our wedding is Feb 6th. Janet is off with her mom and friends tomorrow finding a dress. B)

Ohhh, dress shopping! I got mine a few months ago, Mum and I are going to alter it in a few days. So exciting, once you have the dress it all gets real!

Hey guys

Found this post about the VSC. It's an interview with one of the directors of the VSC that asks questions about their processes. I found it informative. Hope you do too!

Another quick post on FEES

I posted this in another thread where someone asked for a breakdown of fees, but thought we could benefit from it too :D

-----------

Look at this link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3445411 (wouldn't let me post the link this woman had posted)

Though you have to remember this doesn't include the medical which differs by country, and is also dependent on how many immunisations you need (if any), as well as how many police checks you need (depends on how many countries you've lived in)

Also:

- postage fees

- photocopying fees (you should always keep a copy of EVERYTHING you send)

- flights

- actual wedding/marriage fees

**also, because of the recommended fee change on the visa fee (the $131 you pay at the post office before the interview), this could change... but for now :D

**Edited to fix link

Congrats to everyone who has received visas ... :star:

I've just flown V Australia and they were fantastic. Although, the food on the way back sucked a bit (must be the catering from the US side) because all they had was half & half. Come on!! (Also Continental were great).

Ms Nat - hope you're settling in OK. :star:

Vanessa - thanks for the info. I have been checking the timelines but it was a given considering that Rosa's petition was for a K1 it would be approved before mine. I'm under instructions from the husband to NOT check this site anymore.

I should also add - at POE (LAX) I had no problems. No questioning apart from visiting Friends & Family (that I had ticked on the I-94). That was it. I still had my letter from work and house details etc. But did not need it. It was easier actually than any other time. Could be they were busy with Xmas rush and all, not sure but I pulled a really great CBP Officer.

I have started a new thread for the AOS part:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=235331

I hope this helps. it has a doc list and everything. You should be able to tell from the lists what parts for you take less/more time. For us it will be the tax info for the Affidavit of support as my hubby's grandma did the paperwork and she's in IA and we're in TX. She also does the rest of the families so it's buried somewhere...

Just got my Police Certificate in the mail, will get everything done tomorrow and express post my P3 to the consulate tomorrow.

One complaint, it's totally bent and crumpled at the top, can't believe a document so important isn't given "do not bend" treatment.
