Another cool thing too....i'm very much a stats man and love numbers. So you'll get used to me talking about numbers until approval.

In the last 4 weeks (3 weeks 6 days really....) Vermont has issued 116 NOA2 approvals.

The 4 weeks previous to that... 56 approvals.

Again 4 weeks before that... 56 approvals.

So they've more than doubled up their production lately...and with fewer K-1 packages sent to VSC the last few months....things look promising. I won't get too excited just yet, because anything can happen...but we can definitely take some good things from those numbers.

So, for you information/statistic freaks, I reviewed last year July post.

It seems that USCIS had to clean all their backlog for H1B visa around June which would explain the lack of activity at that time.

The same must have happened this year.

My bet is the first of us to get their NO2 should get it at the end of October.

Hmm. What are you plans? Once you get the visa, will you have to wait to organize the trip (leave job, appartment, and so on), or will you take the first plane ticket available?

we would love to be approved by November and then visa obtained sometime in December or January in Australia. I am going to personally go as soon as I can. What about everyone else?

If you look at the igor lists the number of applications for each month before July is less then 100 applications. Hopefully they can keep up the output and get us all approved much earlier then expected

I'll probrably leave as soon as it's approved. We're targeting a March 27 wedding...but if that can be sooner...then we'd definitely go and do that.

I actually hope to go down there as a tourist before I get my visa. I am being laid off from my job at the beginning of Oct, so I hope to be able to go down to wait for my visa.....not sure if I will get across the border or not. I have pretty much always had the same border agent whenever I cross, so he has seen me go back and forth several times and knows we have applied for the K1 and such. So maybe having established a bit of a rapport with him will help me. If not I will head west and hang out with my family while I wait. I am selling my house, since I won't have a job to pay for it, and don't really want to put the effort into finding a job when I may be moving withing a couple of months. If I do get refused at the border.....I will be going ASAP when I get the visa.
