So I am a bit of a numbers geek and granted it may be that people still haven't posted their timeline or they don't know about VJ, but when you look at the total number of applications, the volume starts to go down. I am wondering if many people start off the brand new year, hot off the holidays, to file and then the numbers slow down over the summer. I am looking at Feb/Mar/Apr/May total applications... (knowing that Jun/Jul way too soon). Regardless, I have made this my little mission to keep me sane. :star: I am hoping that there is less volume and therefore the backlog will be gobbled up quicker. ummm, who knows.

Just FYI, I am ignoring the pesky 16 day applicant, strange anomoly, doesn't fit into my analysis. hee hee

Time to go to sleep.

I am too, I watched myself go from 518 to 519, to 520, 521, now 515 today on Igor's list! After reading how the process is handled at the service center, it sounds like someone just grabbed a newer box of applications (I'm surprised that doesn't happen more often from the description from the person who used to work at one, but thankfully, it hasn't been).

I was also wondering how many people don't post their timelines until 1, 2, 3 months later (or even when they are at the point when they will soon be going to the Embassy). I am curious to see how many filers July had in the end, perhaps I will add that to my timeline too, so we can remember...

Hi everyone! I can't help it! I read in one of the subforums that a petition was approved in 16 days! Wow, they are so lucky!!! It's a non-military application, and the couple underwent the same process as we did. And look how lucky they got! Good for them! Congratulations!

I wish it would be the same for us all. Hehe... In God's time anyway. Congrats again guys!

WOW!!! That's great!

That would really put a wrench (spanner for you over the pond folks  ) in things for us. We're trying to time things so that Neil will get his Visa sometime in the May to July 2010 timeframe.

Yes well, if now I'd get my NOA2, I'd be happy but I also would be in panic, because hmmm, we would have nothing planned yet.

I love to play with the timelines feature and Igor's List. My monkey doesn't care about those little stuffs, I'm afraid I am the compulsive psycho geek in the future family.

So today, it says "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between December 13, 2009 and December 19, 2009*."

Hmmm, it's hard to work this afternoon... :sleepy:

Hi everyone. How is your weekend going?

Looks like they had a good week at VSC. I am really hoping that we get NOA2 approval in November. Even though it says beg December, continues to look like Apr/May/Jun have fewer people and then we could move up. Still have quite a few things to do after the NOA2 which take time.

For those that need more time, it sounds like some people aren't rushing the Packet 3 or their interview date. Plus I got the idea that once we all receive the official approval, our fiance's (or fiancee's depending on the situation) have 6 months to enter the US and another 3 months for the wedding. I believe this is the case, did everyone else see that. Therefore people could stretch out a year still.

In our situation, we are hoping & praying Craigy can enter in April. Getting approval in November would hopefully take a little stress out of the equation. :star:

Have a great week all. Less than 3 weeks and I will be on the plane to England. Can't wait to see Craigy. So thankful. Take care.

Yep, the visa is valid 6 months, then we have 90 days to get married.

I've been thinking a lot about that lately.

Considering that I have to give a 2 month notice in order to quit my job, and a 3 month one to leave my appartment...

I'd hate it if I'd have to wait for 3 months once I have my visa...

And it's still a big risk to give your notice before you get the visa in hand.

Thinking about those things gives me headache :x

Spring seems the right season to start a new life though :)

Hey guys. Love reading everyone's posts but I may start getting a little jealous b/c the ones of you who have joined from the California Service Center will always be a month+ before the ones of us who are at Vermont. :crying:

Wanted to share that there is a July '09 filers forum for California as well. But truly excited for everyone that is sending in their I-129Fs or CR-1s ... seeing their checks cleared ... receiving their NOA1. Such an exciting time for all of us.

My fiancé hired a visa attorney in Dallas, TX to do the paperwork for him. The petition was filed about end of June or early of July. Since 3rd week of July, my fiancé called many times and even came to attorney office to check for update info at the attorney. Yet until now Aug/10, we haven't got any news though that attorney. We haven't got NOA1 and application receipt number after more than 1 month that the I-129F was filed. Anyone of you faced this situation ? What we should do now ?

Your fiancé had to provide a check (455$) for the I-129F fee.

Do you know if this check was cashed?

Most of us didn't use an attorney...

So...

1. Find out if the check was cashed.

2. Ask the attorney to provide the proof of delivery. If he can't provide the proof, fire him and ask for a refund.

This situation isn't normal. You should get the NOA1 about one week after USCIS received your application.

Have a look on the Asia forum section, you'll find good advices there.

Our petition was sent around the last week of June as well. The cheque was cleared in early July according to my fiance's bank account. We still have not recieved a NOA1 to this day. And when we called USCIS, they said they had no record of our application. Now my fiance is in a panic, and thought the funds were stolen, and has had an inquiry go out on the Electronic Funds Transfer made on his account and froze his account. I can only hope now that the money was cashed by Homeland Security, and has already been taken by them before the bank was frozen so we don't get a RFE.

So to answer your question, you aren't the only one who hasn't heard anything and has sent in June. My fiance pulled a dumb move and sent it regular mail, so we didn't even have a tracking number to show it actually got there. All we have is the evidence that someone cashed the cheque. It also doesn't help that he has two addresses, and is using his legal address, which is not the address he goes home everyday to -. -

Has his bank provided any information yet? Does his bank have a copy of the check? Meaning even if the funds ended up being transferred electronically, the check still returned to his bank stamped. This is very scary. I am sorry. :(

I have a post on this in the main K1 forum, but I can sum it up here as well. He told me that his bank account had info on the check on June 30th, saying that the money had been cashed. When he called yesterday to see if he could get a number off the cheque, Bank of America told him that the amount had been drawn from the account via EFT but I don't think he asked him to see if the check was returned to the bank or stamped. His exact words to me about talking to the bank were " It stated that the check has been pulled via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) from my account. No check number was used (IE: my check never cleared, it was eft'd)."

He's at work so I can't talk to him about it, but I want him to see if there was a copy of the cheque and if they could get the number or at least fax it to him.

PirateStar: Hope everything works out.

July '09 VSCers: Hope everyone is having a great week. Almost done with another one.

How are all of you?

I am feeling back up to par. Some of you know I had a tennis incident about 5 weeks back. Every now and then my right leg goes into (what I like to call) Alien mode. Doesn't feel normal but overall able to start my exercise routine again. Anyone have any big plans this weekend?

Getting my hair cut tomorrow. Exciting right? Then made a few copies of the I-129F before I sent so going to put dividers in place and little stickies so I can give to my fiance when I see him. Probably get a little sun. Maybe see a movie.

Take care. :star:

My mom, dad, godmother and sister are going to Ireland for my sister's graduation gift (a week) and then meeting us in Craigy's hometown for the final Sat-Mon. Not a lot of time but enough for them to see where Craigy comes from and meet his parents and siblings. Maybe get to watch his football club play. But yep, my sister, mom and I are going to stick out like sore thumbs with our tans. Please feel free to tell me if you are getting annoyed with my trip excitement. Don't want to be obnoxious. :innocent: Yay Friday.

Let's get this thread rolling.

We sent our I-129F and documents on June 26th, and had the check cashed on the 2nd of July. Just waiting for the NOA1 in the mail now.

Hopefully we're all in for a smooth ride...but no doubt there will be alot of impatience and stress ahead. So let's stick together and ride it out as one!

July is the 7th month... that's our lucky number as well ;)
