Yes, I have spoken to a few other people on the UK forum and it seems to be the case that London probably have recieved it they just havent got round to opening it and entering it into the system. Apparently they also do things in batches... waiting til they have a pile of applications for a couple of weeks and then putting them into the system at the same time, and then the same with packet 3 and also issuing an interview date. I'm hoping we hear something by the end of the month. Still, we're in no major rush. I've put on our forms that we plan to travel around February even though we prob won't til April. I just want to get everything out of the way...

Do you have your medical scheduled yet Azra?

Well everything takes a lot more time with big embassies such as London or Paris... So I'm not surprised.

London seems a very slow embassy.. Well I guess there are much more petitions that end up there.

Rachel is right, they probably do things in batch, so it's a matter of luck also.

I sent my packet 3 on November 13th, and I haven't heard anything back yet. Which is normal...

Holiday season has started for retail stores, and work is horrible for me...

I'm not sure how I am going to survive these last upcoming months. Phew...

The waiting makes everything so much harder...

I don't want to do the medical neither, I hate those things, I'm done updating my vaccines tho.

Good luck.

Ours is also moving along, although it did run into a little problem - see this string:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry3521463

Carmen's Canadian citizenship (she is very excited!) came up for tomorrow, so she will lose her Can green card and will have to expedite her new Canadian passport. I asked the Vancouver Consulate and they told us that we had to wait until she had her Canadian passport to submit Packet 3. Apparently you can expedite a passport up there and get it in a couple of weeks - I really hope so as we will be travelling to South America at Christmas !

The other puzzling thing is that although we supplied evidence (in our original I-129F) that she was a legal permanent resident in Canada, apparently they did not pass this information on to the Consulate, so we have to do that again.

Hopefully we can get a late January interview - that would be perfect...

when I called embassy to see if they have received our case from the NVC, they asked me a name.. And I said Faruk.. hahaha.. (I thought that I need to say his name)..

LOL! When I called DOS on Monday I gave them our embassy number LND2009######, then they asked for his name. I said, David McC******, this is Julie McC******, NO WAIT.. My name is Julie C****!!!' hehehehe, she asked if I was getting ahead of myself. Of course I am! I sent off the paperwork back in July, I already view myself as married sometimes. LOL! Wearing two rings already isn't help either. But they look so good together!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Well done! Im so happy for you!

Well... we are still waiting. Feel like we've come to a bit of a standstill. We are still waiting for London to recieve our case. According to NVC (which I dont know if I believe) they still haven't recieved it since it was sent on the 12th! Ahhh... the waiting game again!

I bet they have it by Monday. As soon as they do send in your P3 checklist and DS forms. We would have our interview date next week if he would have sent in our papers as soon as DOS confirmed P3 had been sent out. I believe it added an extra month onto our wait. We still don't know when the interview will be. :dead: London is a difficult embassy to work with.

I know that I have gone to the passport office with my application, and if you had travel booked and had an itinerary, they could get it to you in 48hrs (I think). It has never taken me more than 2 weeks to get a passport. So you should be fine for christmas travel. Make sure you bring your travel documents to the passport office and you will be fine!

I've got my packet 4 today. My interview is set on December 30th.

Ok, I know it may sound wrong but I was hoping to get the interview before Christmas so I'm a bit disappointed.

You know, as a gift. ;)

Well, now, to book medicals...

Heyiii Ileana.. I live in Bosnia, it is not so near to Romania (like Serbia), but we are quite near :D!

I had my medical yesterday.. I think that it was ok.. X ray, and blod test is great!

I have incomplete vaccination history, but I also think that wont be a problem?

I am a little bit confused! Do you know, how much time can pass between the medical and the date of interview.. Because, I am just waiting that documents that Faruk sent arrive.. So I am hoping that next week they will be in my hands and that I can call embassy!

Ohhh I am nervous about the interview :(

Congratz!

But you made a mistake in your timeline, you set it in 2010! ;)

For the visa, it depends on the embassy, I know France sends it back to you by mail (with a special express mail enveloppe you have to bring at the interview).

And it sounds like in the UK you pay a courier company when you leave and then it gets delivered not that long after assuming not pending additional documentation.
