Let's get this thread rolling.

We sent our I-129F and documents on June 26th, and had the check cashed on the 2nd of July. Just waiting for the NOA1 in the mail now.

Hopefully we're all in for a smooth ride...but no doubt there will be alot of impatience and stress ahead. So let's stick together and ride it out as one!

July is the 7th month... that's our lucky number as well ;)

Yay! 7 is our lucky number too! We also filed our I-129F on July 7th (my birthday) and we recieved our NOA1 on the 16th of July (even though the date on it was the 10th). I just wanted to share my support and find other people in the same boat. Good luck everyone

Oh and I forgot to ask, how are you all getting on with wedding plans? We've set our date for June 27th 2010! I'm hoping to fly out with my labrador and Russ at the end of April at the latest. Get settled, and then have the wedding two months later.

The ceremony site, reception venue, photographers, flowers and officiant are all booked. Oh and I have my dress as well! I know people say wait for the NOA2 before you make plans, but thats just not possible for us. Nothing would be available! So we're thinking positive and keeping our fingers crossed! Whats everyone else doing?

Good morning all...

Simon and Janet - Glad to see you are looking at a late March wedding. FYI - I appreciate your "talking numbers," please keep up

Russ and Rachel - June sounds great as well.

We are May 1st. So glad we are all thinking positive. I know I get a little nervous when I see all the posts from people telling others how ridiculous they are for planning without the visa first. But it is difficult to plan a wedding. Glad to know many of us are in the same boat.

I know Craigy is starting to sell his stuff on ebay and then we are trying to figure out what to do with his house. Have a great day all. :luv:

They don't say it's ridiculous Victoria. It's just a big risk to take. At each step, USCIS, NVC or at the ambassy, you can be put into Additionnal Processing, each AP can last up to 6 months.

It seems to be very common to be put into AP at NVC.

The risk is that you could get very disappointed by the additionnal process time and on the top of that, you'd have to deal with the whole wedding cancellation and the money loss.

That would be hell, and some VJ members are actually dealing with that. They took that risk, their choice, but they shouldn't whine about it because that warning is stated a few times along the process.

My monkey and I have no real family. The wedding ceremony isn't important for us. So no date here.

I wish we could get at least a little romantic wedding though, but the travels and the visa fees have sucked us completly dry.

I'll feel lucky if we can pay the AOS fee without worrying. So it will be a court wedding. Anyway here in France, you have no other choice but to marry at the city hall so...

It will look "normal" to me. :)

I am jealous too! This will be the longest I've been apart from Victor. I've used much too much vacation already this year, I only have a little left (going in November for his birthday). I can't believe I have 2.5 more months to wait. The last few visits have all been 2-2.5 months apart, and now June-Nov 4.5 - twice as long. I know, I need to be thankful for all the times I HAVE seen him. I'm still jealous though, and busy scrutinizing the speed of processing.

Yeah the 5 month processing time is a ball park figure... i'll give you some more updated stats.

Between July 27 and August 23 - Vermont has approved 140 petitions.

Between June 29 and July 26 - Vermont had approved 57 petitions.

So they've gone nuts in the last month, approving ALOT more than they had been averaging, which is obviously excellent news for us.

92 K-1 petitions were sent in April by users listing on this site. Some of those April filers have NOA2's already.

88 K-1 petitions were sent in May by users listing on this site.

73 K-1 petitions were sent in June by users listing on this site.

71 K-1 petitions were sent in July by users listing on this site.

So hopefully alot of the March filers will get their NOA2's in the coming weeks and then the rest of April is worked on as well.

Thats the most accurate version of the Igors list.. "the old list"... But the new one is accessed through the immigration timelines link above allows you to see total filings, approved filings or just unapproved filings, Berkeley wont let you do that...
