but you think I haven't written to my senators? haha, I tried that from the very start too, and they never work.. I sent thousands of letters to them.. you can ask people who were here two years ago when I first started sending them.. I could have stopped right there and let USCIS handle the rest, but I didn't.. yes, right now it late in the stage for her because she didn't go out and work harder in securing her case.. so what happened between June 2007 and June 2009 then? what else did she do? I'm saying she should make her own path, or find other paths and do more research.. ok, I take that back, I'm sorry.. I shouldn't say "don't care at all", but she needed to try harder.. I also had "post-interview" problems too.. they were about to issue a I-601 waiver on me too, but I had that reversed.. tell me out of all the people here, who had that done.. everyone would just fill it out quietly, but I said 'no way'.. because I didn't need to fill it out (also , my wife has never been to the US before, so ####### -- that's to them, not you)..

Why do you guys laugh at what he says? Back then (not anymore now), you could have filed a lawsuit or "writ of mandamus" to force them to come to a conclusion.. but it is too late for the OP now.. you can however still complain and write to the government (not USCIS) about your case.. find what is wrong with your application now (which dept it is at), and write them letters.. Since the USCIS also assumed you were another person, it should go to the FPU (Fraud Prevention Unit) and also FBI too.. Also do inquiries over there too.. find out who has it now and why they have it.. then look for their supervisor and ask why and argue your case.. bring all your evidence to prove that the case they have it not yours.. :angry:

Get a good lawyer and sue USCIS. It will be very complicated to dolve this thing own your own. you have waited for a long time. You should have done it before. USCIS sucks!!

Pakistan is very different when it comes to 'post interview problems' they are so expected that Senators and reps will do nearly nothing for you no matter how long it has been or how much leg work you do.

HOWEVER now that they know what the problem is the Senator and an attorney can help. There are a lot of resources on VJ that have to do with Petition revocation and several people who are on the road to getting it fixed. It seems like there might be a big confusion in the case. . .it may be easily solved with a good Senate liaison and attorney. . .check these out.

I agree this is a completely different situation, he is from pakistan and his name is usman. Come on giant red flags waving here.

My husband is from Iran and his name is Ali Reza Mohhammadi Motlagh. Could he have had a more common muslim name? It took 25 months from the filing of the petition until his visa was issued and this was nothing unusual for a man from a muslim country.

I did remain proactive but there is only so much you can do. Even the congressman can only do so much.

But, what is done is done and now we need to be giving positive advice, not crying over spilt milk.
