About Bridezilla, I think every culture has it. There are women/girls who dream about their wedding from a very young age. They already have their jewelleries sorted out, dress designed and all the things that goes into a wedding. I know my neighbour, who started collecting her wedding jewellery set when she was 11 or 12. She had that 7 days big fat Indian wedding celebration. I am not sure how much of a bridezilla was she, but I can assume she wanted everything to be perfect, everything in place and according to her style.

Is it right or wrong I don't know. I never dreamt about marriage because that wasn't my ultimate goal. But when someone else has invested all these years into planning their perfect dream wedding, I can see how they could go a bit overboard with their needs.

So yes even those submissive charming wives might have a dream wedding chalked up somewhere in their mind, if they follow through or not is a different story.

Sorry, but a sweet, gentle submissive attitude goes a loooong way to create order and harmony in the home. Some people here actually can find in "the good book" where it hints it a good thing.

The sweet gentle attitude of the woman makes the man love and care for her even more and offer her a spirit of servitude and not domination.

So you would prefer the attitude of a "Bridezilla"? I can hardly believe that. Lovingness and kindness is what most here seek in a marriage partner. '

My reasons for seeking a foreign bride has more to do with finding a woman who is grounded in her religious beliefs, and not falling for bizarre Eastern cults and dragging me through that sort of hell I lived from 2002-2006. Mutual respect and positivity are what I am after in my relationship with Leidys. She wants to be the one to cook, but I already do it so well, I may hand her the task eventually.

I always found it strange when people get into 'I sought a foreign bride because...' I guess I naturally assumed it was something that just happened...I didn't seek my ex out because he was from XYZ, it just so happened that I fell for a guy who wasn't American. The rest, imo..is a copout...'oh I wanted a religious woman'....well guess what? Go to the Bible belt and there are plenty there....'oh I want a woman who will stay home in a traditional family structure'...guess what? those women are out there too. Pretty much every character trait anyone wants to find CAN be found right here at home. What can't be found at home is the bargaining chip of the GC, and the power that comes with giving that to someone who would love a chance at the 'American Dream'....so please, let's not pretend that that's not a factor. Cos some tightbodied 24 year old Pinay is not with your 60+ year old fat azz just 'because'.

Bridezillas, Rich Bride Poor Bride...all my guilty pleasures to watch! Its hilarious to watch them freak out! I'll probably stop watching as much of them after I get married. I want to see all that can go wrong!

About the submissiveness #######, I believe that partners need to be equal in their relationship. I am putting together the marriage service with help from my pastor and was reading some of the suggested scripture. It was hard to find one that did not have a phrase similar to, "wives submit to your husbands and husbands love your wives", and do not be harsh with them. "Husbands love your wives, and wives respect your husbands", umm...I think it goes both ways!!

My friend told me about that show and I gave it a watch last summer. WOW I saw the one where the girl wanted to cover the walls of the reception hall with quilts
