It just happens to be the capital city of Canada, a city with a population of over 800,000 in a metropolitan area of over 1 million.

Aside from the many other inaccuracies and fallacies in this thread, this one in particular irks me.

a little town in an empty wilderness, buddy. the capital of pennsylvania is bigger than ottawa. can you name it?

Ottawa ON - The 2006 Census recorded the population at over 812,000, making it the fourth largest municipality in the country and second largest in Ontario. Connected by several bridges to its Quebec neighbour, the City of Gatineau on the northern shores of the Ottawa River, the two cities had a combined 2006 population of over 1,130,000, making it the country's fourth largest metropolitan area.

Harrisburg PA - As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 48,950, making it the tenth largest city in Pennsylvania, after Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Erie, Reading, Scranton, Bethlehem, Lancaster, and Altoona. The Harrisburg-Carlisle-Lebanon Combined Statistical Area, including both the Harrisburg-Carlisle and Lebanon Metropolitan Statistical Areas, had an estimated population of 656,781 in 2007

City limits - Ottawa vs. Harrisburg - 812,000 vs 48,950 - factor 16:1.

Metro area - Ottawa vs. Harrisburg - 1,130,000 vs 656,781 - factor 1.7: 1

As usual, you are just plain, factually dead wrong and manifestly incapable of even conducting a basic fact check before posting your factual misstatements. Given that you can't even get basic facts like urban populations right,is it really any wonder no one gives any credence to your equally bizarre statements of opinion?

I am most certainly not your 'buddy'.

somehow it has never been an issue for me. i guess that's because i've worked all of my adult life, and have never been without a job for more than 7 days at a time. maybe the whiners who can't afford health care as it stands should try it sometime?

And for the losers who work jobs that don't offer insurance, I have this to say: get a real job, ya deadbeats!

Attention Walmart employees: stop working that fake job and get a real one.

Except that Walmart does offer its employees coverage, and is in favor of having mandates requiring coverage across the private sector.

Attention Walmart employees: your jobs are now real, but before they were fake. Count yourselves now lucky.

You get to wear a blue vest. Can life be any better? I submit it cannot.

I don't want our heathcare to be like other countries. I want it to be better than other countries, and I don't want to be pay for your fantasies. When Obama and his sycophants in the healthcare deception are willing to give up their gold plate care for what they want to force on everyone else, then we can talk.

Talk with you? Why would anyone bother? You are no one and you claim not to even bother with health insurance anyway.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I don't need health insurance. I'm going to resist being forced to pay for other people's insurance, too.
