I just went to the USCIS website indicating processing time frame for the Vermont Processing Center. It states they are just processing applications received last Nov. 25th, that's 8 months. Now you wait for it to reach US Embassy in Manila. If this is true, which is really hard to say since we dealing with bureaucracy, there's a real wait ahead for those just filing, like us. I hope this is incorrect but here is the link. Comments welcome.

That data is from the end of April and it means they were sending files to NVC that were approx 6 months from NOA1 to NOA2. They are shooting for 5 months in the coming months... The data should be updated in a week or so... expect 6-8 months for your interview if there are no problems.. maybe sooner maybe later...

Thanks for the reply, its encouraging. I guess the waiting is the hardest part of all this.

The table shown below is intended to be a tool for customers to view our processing times. When applications and petitions are completed within our target timeframes, those timeframes will be shown (example: 3 months). If we are not meeting our target timeframes a date will be shown (example: April 16, 2008).

Current timeframe = Last update - current processing date.

There are taking about 5 months to process the I-129F using that formula. Chances are you will receive NOA #2 before the website reflects that your petitiion has been completed.

or less than 5 months :) I used to base my expectations on the processing timelines they stated, and I was really surprised to get NOA2 in 4 months, I was expecting at least 6 months, I was unprepared then thus setting my interview appointment a month after. So, just ready all the papers coz once you get NOA2, its all gonna happen so fast :) Good luck :)

The website said the exact same thing during our waiting period, but we got the NOA2 in almost exactly 5 months to the date from the NOA1. We had most of our interview documents together, but it still caught us by suprise. You can see in my timeline a slightly bigger gap between the NOA2 and the interview then in some others profiles. This is mostly due to being caught off guard.

It has been stated on VJ many times that the date reflects the oldest case being processed. I have seen no proof of this, but it makes a good hypothesis.
