I don't see any postings on case status in this particular forum. Can you follow what's going on with your natualization applicaion on the USCIS website under case status or does that end with the removal of conditions?

You can enter your receipt number into the system, and it will confirm that your application was received. But, that's about all the online system is good for when it comes to naturalization.

Biometrics, interview appointments and so on are not entered into the system, so it will rarely be updated from the date of receipt.

JOURNEY HIGHLIGHTS

04/23/05: Sent fiance petition (I-129F) to VSC

10/26/05: K-1 visa in hand

02/17/06: Flight to U.S. - POE Anchorage

03/01/06: We got married!!

03/04/06: Applied for Adjustment of Status

07/31/06: Received 2-Year Green Card in the mail

04/08/08: Sent application for Removal of Conditions to VSC

03/20/09: Received 10-year Green Card in the mail

04/11/09: Mailed N-400 application to Lewisville, TX Lockbox

08/18/09: Citizenship interview in Garden City, NY

08/27/09: Sworn in as a U.S. Citizen in Brooklyn Court House

08/29/09: Applied for U.S. Passport (routine service)

09/25/09: Received U.S. Passport in the mail

The USCIS website tends to be updated during the removal of conditions process, but not during naturalization. This may be because your case starts out at the National Benefits Center for initial processing, but all case-related files are then sent to your local district office where your interview will be held and maybe the local district office doesn't have the authorization to update the website case status and the NBC could not be bothered when it is no longer in their juristiction. A lot of people that already have their citizenship still see that their naturalization case has been received and is pending at the National Benefits Center.

My case says the same thing, even though I have already received my NOA1, my biometrics is complete and my interview has been scheduled.

Timeline

I-130

February 13, 2006: I-130 filed (US Embassy, Dublin, Ireland).

April 18, 2006: Interview date received.

May 02, 2006: Interview (US Embassy, Dublin, Ireland). Visa approved.

June 14, 2006: Moved to Charlotte, NC.

July 20, 2006: 'Welcome to the United States' letter received.

July 21, 2006: Applied for SSN.

July 29, 2006: SSN received.

September 05, 2006: 2 year Permanent Resident card received.

I-751

April 09, 2008: Mailed I-751 to TSC.

April 15, 2008: Check cashed.

April 16, 2008: Case transferred to VSC.

April 23, 2008: Biometrics appointment letter received.

May 10, 2008: Biometrics appointment.

June 28, 2008: Moved to Clearwater, FL (Filed AR-11 and I-865).

March 04,2009: 10 year Permanent Resident card production ordered.

March 13,2009: 10 year Permanent Resident card received.

N-400

April 24, 2009: Mailed N-400 to TX Lockbox.

April 30, 2009: NOA1 Notice date.

May 11, 2009: Biometrics appointment letter received.

May 16, 2009: Biometrics complete (walk-in).

June 04, 2009: Interview letter received.

July 23, 2009: Interview.

July 23, 2009: Oath. I am a US citizen!

Hi Everyone,

Good to know that there is no need to waste time with CRIS for naturalization... :thumbs:

Besides, overall the online system is unreliable anyways, as it is rarely updated and correct...

(lol..I'm sure all of you who have used this system before know what I mean, especially at the ROC stage...)

On that note, I've wondered why they still have such a system, be it that it is useless most of the time...

I say..."Let CRIS have a permanent vacation!...Keep updated here on VJ instead!" :dance:
