As I mentioned before, most pedaphiles were victims of sexual abuse as children themselves and many of them have homosexual relationships in adulthood. Your cause and effect is out of alignment. Sexual orientation has no bearing on a pedophile's behavior. Think about it, Danno.... if the guy had been straight then his victim would have been a little girl? Does that make you any happier about it?

I thought the point was.. if they guy had been straight, the odds of there being a victim would be a little lower.

Using your cause and effect logic, if were there less white males raised in Christian families, we'd have less mass murderers in this country. If there were a lot less men in the general population, less rapes. If there wasn't any religions, we'd have less people dying. All pointless arguments.

Liberal-logic is of course dangerous but entertaining non-the-less.

I have a friend who just got involved in the "Big Sisters" program, the extensive things they wanted to know about were (according to you) for the most part a waste of time.

I'll let'em know the police check was good enough, it would really speed things up too as it took quite a long time to get "approved".

2. Danno you have been asked a few times in this thread to back up your numbers & you haven't... please do so (with a reliable source).

3. Knocking "liberal logic" without providing any proof of your assertion is hypocritical.

4. You seem to imply a link between child molestation & being gay... if you feel that way just admit it & stop throwing out mixed signals (in one post you imply the link & in the next you say you aren't making the link... which is it?).

I used to go through the trouble to post links and stats all that .... but few people botherd to even read them so I rarely bother anymore (like everyone else).

As far as linking child molestation to later living a gay life, I think that was Col.Bat who brought that well known subject to the conversation, not me.

If you doubt his observation on this... you obviously don't know many gays upfront and personal.

I don't understand the desire of some to keep steering the conversation toward anything other than the, News Reporting angle of this story.

Danno you started the thread, made contradictory statements & failed to back up your statistics. Based on this I believe I have a valid point. As for knowing gays upfront & personal I have one friend who "came out of the closet" a few years ago. The fact that he is gay didn't change our friendship at all.

The argument stands of course. You are, for some strange obsessed with homosexuality as evidenced judging by your continued posting of threads relating to it. This is also at least the second time that you've tried to connect homosexuality to pedophilia, taking the authors argument in this thread that a story about an incidence child sex abuse should somehow be written in such a way as to suggest that pedophilia is part and parcel of the homosexual experience.
