Happy 4th! No plans here, just waiting on the baby to wake up from his nap. My other two are with their father and his family and my husband is at work. Nice, boring, quiet day!

I just made a fresh apricot pie and some Southern Caviar dip for a party tonite, that pie smelled SO good baking. I've never made an apricot pie before but it looks and smells great and I had about a million pounds of fresh apricots, so if its good I think I'll make another one.

Hope its a great 4th for everyone :)

What kind of laptop did he get you? I got my daughters one each this past birthday because all but one in my house broke and I need that one for work. Anyway they both unfortunately came with Vista and the one from Dell came with Vista 64 bit which unfortunately STILL can't run iTunes :( I feel bad for her because her sister can run it all she wants on hers. I called the company and they won't install the 32 bit for free so I feel I got majorly screwed and I think a lot of people might have complained since now I see they offer her laptop with an option to have XP on it. (they didn't do that when I bought it).

Very sunny here and I'm trying to move out of the house so I can get some sunshine while it lasts. I am in the middle of a fibro-flare up and so I'm not motivated one bit. Probably started because we stayed up till 2am last night watching movies. It's so hard when he comes home at 11pm since he's all ready to have fun and I'm all ready for bed. I have to remember that I can't do that too often or I pay the price. :(

Going to get some lobster tails to make thisrecipe from the Neelys. YUM!!!!! I can't believe the stores are open today. I feel bad for those that have to work. I wish for the days when nothing was open at all on Sunday and holidays. It just *felt* more like a holiday, you know?

If I have any energy left I might go get some perennials too so that I can plant them when I'm on vacation in a couple of weeks. We totally forgot that my sister planted some very pretty yellow perennials in our front yard and they just look so vibrant and beautiful!!! And the best part about it was that we didn't have to do anything they just *popped* one day. Plant it and faggitaboutit. My kinda plant!

It's my mother's birthday today too. She's 77. For years her mom told her that the parades/fireworks were for her and she said the day she found out they weren't it was worse than finding out about Santa! My dad will be 79 on the 7th. Wow they're getting old!

Happy Fourth to all! I thought we where going to go to BBQ's today but Hasan found out that he had to work got home at 12:30 am and back to work by 7 am and will be home at 4 pm then I have to be at church at 6 so my son is going to BBQ steaks and I have th fixins ready and then we will go to watch the races and fireworks. Stll will make a evening out of it and enjoy our freedom. His 10 year green card should be here any day now so I know he will be able to enjoy this freedom day.

Well today makes the end of one month since my gastric bypass and I have lost 20 lbs and that is exactlly what they wanted me to lose. Sine I only have 80 lbs to lose it will take me longer to lose weight but we are getting a family membership at the local gym and I know that will help me to keep toned while I lose and also help my family to be healthy. I know that Hasan will have fun at the gym and I am very happy about that.

Enjoy today!

Oh no you can use iTunes with Vista but there are two types of Vista...the 32 bit and the 64 bit. Apparently the 32 bit has no problems with itunes but the 64 bit has many problems. Itunes made a special program for us 64 bitters but unfortunately it still doesn't work with the way her computer is configured. I called and got someone from India naturally and tried to fix it with him for an hour and gave up. I'll call again when I have more patience but in the meantime this dude from India has left messages everyday asking if I'm all set. OMG I can't get rid of him and I just want him to go away until I have a good 3 hours alone and am motivated to fix her laptop. I guess it's good that Dell has such a persistant help desk but geesh let it go man I'll call ya when I need ya. lol
