It's July Fourth

I am home alone and bored, watching a dud of a movie ! It's July 4th on the East Coast !! Last year on the Fourth I was returning from Morocco via a 1 day layover in England (how's that for irony?) My son picked me up around 9:00 pm in Seattle just in time to catch the fireworks over the water, beautiful !!

With this holiday approaching, I have been thinking about it in a different way. What can we free ourselves from today? Some habits that have enslaved us? I want to have independence from other's expectations, criticisms and judgments. I want to be free to live a full, happy life and experience peace

Happy 4th of July! We will go see fireworks tonight. We like to park away from the main area so we are not stuck in traffic for an hour. It's going to be a beautiful weekend.

Good morning and Happy 4th July ! Sun is trying to come up

with overcast skies this morning. Our monsoons are definately

here with light rain almost everyday. What a treat!!!

Don't know where we will go to watch the fireworks. Love the

fireworks but don't like the heat and all the people. The Boston

Pops or a Capitol 4th looks better and better!

Thank God we can still celebrate our Independence.

Big plans, I get to work on my dissertation, now don't be all jealous, you too can look up medical information and yawn and than hear the fireworks and know that some folks are having a great time, but I am on the down side and it is almost all over. yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa It is worth it, I have been telling myself this for the last year, it is worth it, it is worth missing having a life. I can't wait to see my husband, he babies me and blows smoke up my #### and I feel so speical, he is the best. What I mean by blows smoke up my ####, he is my cheerleader, the only one in the family that makes me feel special. I need some of that nowwwwwwwww.

Might be a good day to clean out a fish tank. yea..dats what I'll do. I can take before and after pics. Who wants to help? I gotta use the sucker-vacuum thingy to clean the gravel. I better have another cup of coffee before starting this project.

Had an awesome 4th of July here in Hurghada! We went out and purchased a little American flag for me to carry around then we went to KFC which drew all the attention as I placed my flag on the table. I don't think many Egyptians know what 4th of July means to us Americans. In my Yellow Stone t-shirt which I wore last 4th of July when I was at my brothers wedding I marched with my American flag up and down the main strip where I exercise. I did this because my Husband was with me and I wanted them to know I am American and he is Egyptian and to stop harassing me when I walk there and to let them know I'm not Russian, or Polish, or Scandinavian, or German, or any other ethnicity they may speculate about. I am American and proud of it!!! I had my own parade today in the middle of the street and my Husband laughed the whole way which was good to see. He said it was because he was seeing the kid come out of me. It was a wonderful day and now he is at work and has tomorrow off and he will travel to Cairo to finish his medical check and finally turn in packet 3!
