Good Luck regina! Hope everything went well today!!! Let us know what happens!

Thank you Starburst! (L)

So fellow Julyers, I have good and bad news.

Bad news first - the doctor who did my medical didn't fill out everything completely, one would expect more after paying $200++ So we had to go back to the doctor and had him fill out everything again, the AO actually highlighted the form! Then, we went back to give the new 693 back to the AO but she was out so we just left it there with a lady at the window.

Good news is, the AO said once she gets the properly filled out form, she was going to approve our application  I pray to God that she finds everything alright so we can get my actual green card soon!

Here's my experience:

The interview was basic and straightforward - after swearing us in the AO asked for our IDs, verified data on the forms (arrival date, whether I left after I arrived, current address, phone number), asked some of the yes/no questions on the 485 form. She asked us how we met, our interests, what made my husband decide why he wanted to marry me (haha), when we got engaged. All this time she was writing down our answers. She asks me whether I had a couple of tests done for my medical and she said that the doctor didn't fill out certain parts! :bonk: She made some notes on a post it about it.

Then she asked to see bona fide proof: joint accounts, pictures, insurance, mail with both our names on them, etc. Then she explained that we had to file to remove conditions in two years and had us sign the form, asked for photocopies of our bona fide evidence and told us she was going to recommend our application to be approved! YAY!

Aaaand then my husband asked about the medical form (she forgot all about it) and that was when she highlighted the 693 form and wrote a note to the doctor. She was empathetic towards us and said that she was sorry that we had to go back to him again, saying that she understands how we are waiting for the green card to go on with our life.. but that's how it is! At least we were able to go to the doctor and leave the new 693 at USCIS right away.

Whew! Sorry for the lengthy post. A big thank you to those who posted well wishes and hoping we get more approvals soon!

Thank you! It just frustrated me because the doctor was a little "grumbly" and insisted that he did everything correctly, and made it seem we were bothering him  But I am relieved when our AO said everything was fine save for the medical.

Star, thanks! I hope that we get an email soon too! The doctor didn't fill out the part for HIV and the chest xray AT ALL! He left them blank! I hope he filled them out right this time, since he had highlights to help him, lol :innocent:

I will keep you all posted with any updates :star:

Hi everyone,

I'm just filling out all my AOS forms and I have some trouble finding what I have to attach to the I-131 form, Application for Travel Document. Can anyone help me? I know I have to include two passport size photos but do I need any more copies of anything else?

I also have a question about the I-693A do I have to provide that form to the civil surgeon or do they have it in their office. I could not locate it anywhere in this website so I don't know what to do.

Under the tips for helping you fill out all the documents it states, "I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. (if you already have this from your overseas visa interview submit a copy that medical check form......" what is "that medical check form"? did anyone submit anything as proof, a copy of the receipt or anything else?

The people in June filers getting their GC's sound like they're accepting a Grammy or something. "I'd like to thank abc123 for the fabulous spreadsheet, subguy for touching me, and everyone else for being such wonderful fabulous people. *sob* "

Sigh. I want to make that speech. <_<
