Hi guys,

Just found this site and thought I'd introduce myself! I also filed in July. Just getting to grips with the site, but I have put my timeline in the signature.

I'm starting to get bored of the wait - check email - check uscis site - go to bed - wake up - check again..... its become obsessive. How annoying is it to check every day for a week and then nothing! and on monday, you think... ah must have something to say today... and, no...

Last update was 5th August ... how long is it usually between biometrics and EAD /AP ? I did a walk-in early, and wonder if it even makes a difference!

It's good to know we are all in the same boat and I'm not alone in this.. Hope you are all doing well or being more patient than me

Believe me, I've driven myself insane checking all the time as well. About two weeks ago though, I limited myself to checking the USCIS site

every 5 hours. It's hard not to though want to see what's happening. But then things come out of the blue!(I really was not expecting the EAD email when I got it) Every monday though I'm always "YAY another 6 days of mail!"

I don't think going early to bio really matters. It took about 1 month between bio and my EAD approval to happen ( I think, double check my timeline)

The only thing we got in the mail yesterday was a confirmation of last week's service call to them. It had a standard "wait times for a biometrics appointment may take 3-6 months depending on the service center".....that better be a HUGE overestimate and just some standard mumbo jumbo!

3-6 months!! Holy #######! I don't understand why it would take so long with the 3 month EAD timeline!!!

I really hope you, and everyone else waiting hear something soon!!

I just got this right now:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On August 19, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I'm assuming that means my card is on it's way? In which case YAY!!!

I swear our case is on the same desk! I mean it would make sense wouldn't it!!? Except they must have misplaced my interview notice!

Confirmation? How its look like? Look like regular NOA? How can be 3-6 months? If they have time frame for EAD 3 months... Don't understand

I doesnt look like an NOA at all. It's normal white paper with USCIS letterhead and just states that the "inquiry" has been made. It's very general, except for my husband's info.

I really hope that 3-6 month thing is just something standard they say (like don't they say the processing times for I-485 are 6 months but we know people from June are already getting Interview dates).

honestly the processing times drive me mad! They say 6 months or whatever but then it's closer to 2-3 months. 4 months max.

I really wish their times were calculated better.

Updates since our last post. My wife had her biometrics appointment on 08/08 (we did not do an earlier walk-in), both applications (I-485, I-765) got touched 08/11 and today we got a mail saying the EAD has been ordered. Seems pretty much in line with others in this thread who applied around the same time.

I just got my interview date!!!!

Sep 24th at 9am!!

I opened the mail box and I was shaking so bad because I saw TWO pieces of paper in the thing!!

Omg I have so much to gather before then!

I do notice that there really is no consistency...dime people who filed at the 1st if the month, are now getting EAD/AP and some still waiting...I noticed that someone who filed July 23, got AP last week and EAD yesterday...holy cow that is fast! And some already did Bio prior to getting it and others had not done Bio prior to getting it...

It really makes it hard to track gosh darnit!!! Lol!

It'll just show the date has been changed. So if you log in and it says say August 20th and then you log in tomorrow and it says August 21st, that means that someone handled your case in some way.

Ack the drive! My husband and I have to drive 4 hours for our interview......

interview is at 9am...so YAY for getting up at 4am!

Still no touches since my hubby's bio appt. =( On a positive note my hubby just got his temporary driving permit today, yay!
