We sent one check and it was cashed and we got all 3 NOAs last Friday.

Hello July filers!!

I finally sent our papers today via FedEx. Should receive tomorrow morning.

Had a scare. I was sitting at my work desk thinking about the money I needed to deposit at lunch time and realized I didn't put the check in the package!! Luckily it hadn't been picked up and I was able to rush down and put it in! I can't believe I almost forgot the most important part!!! What a dork! Luckily things turned out ok so far! Now I hope for no RFE's. (but if I forgot the check, I probably forgot something else!! Time will tell!)

my AOS..cuz i have a co-sponsor which i dont know if we answered it right..?

How did you send it, Certified US Mail, Express US Mail, Fedex or some other way?

Mailed my wife's and daughters AOS package July 09, 2009, express mail to Chicago Lockbox, Received July 10, 2009 and signed for by Ralph Mercado. Awaiting the NOA1. Wish everyone luck!!!!!

We sent a separate check for I 130 and then another single check which was for the I 485 and I 765 combined seems they wanted 3 checks instead of 2 :shrugs:

What do you mean, I-765? You don't pay any fee for I-765, it'sincluded in the fee for I-485. There should be 2 checks:1010 (I-485 and biometrics) and 355 for I-130. They can't accept your check for I-485 if you include the price of I-765 in it.

There is no fee for the I 765 if filed with the I 485, that is not what I am referring to.

The I 485 fee(s) however consist of 2 elements, the application fee and the fingerprint fee, the total you refer to includes both these fees. That is what they wanted separated, rather than one check for $1010.

Although from other replies in both this thread and other areas of the forum it appears that it is pretty much the luck of the draw as both ways have been accepted.

That's so lame. They can't even come to a consensus on the fees, seriously? ... c'mon USCIS, get with it!
