We got our interview appointment letter today, for September 8th. that was fast! I was really scared when I saw it as I thought it was an RFE!

Just found our biometrics appointment letter in the mail, sooner than we expected. The appointment is for 09/02 but we're going to try and walk in next week

I just had my biometrics this morning at hicksville, NY. It was so quick and everything went so smoothly. My appointment was at 9am but we got there at 8.30ish am so we got in and showed the appointment letter and my passport at the receiving area or the person at the entrance i don't know what u call them. lol;p and then he gave me a paper and pen with my appointment letter and wrote a number on it and passport then he asked me to sit and fill it out then wait to be called at the reception area. After a few mins. of filling out the forms the reception called me and asked for my appointment letter, passport and marriage certificate because i changed my name. And then she transferred me to the bio section. At the bio section, the guy first typed all of my informations at the computer and he called me to spray my hands. And the fingerscanning started, then after that i was asked to seat and he already took my pic. And then he asked me to double checked my infos if its correct. Then im done. He gave me a yellow paper which is just a survey form. Then he returned my appointment letter (stamped and signed), passport and marriage cert. That was just it. I was done at 8.55ish.. Just before my appointment time. Hubby and I was so shocked how quick it was. But happy that its finally done.

So just dont forget to bring ur appointment letter, passport, marriage certificate if u changed ur name and SSN (just in case u havent memorize it.).

SAME HERE! Exactly ! I had the appointment at 11 am, got there @10:45. By 11 I was done.

Thanks for sharing your stories. This is my first time venturing into this section of VJ, as this step is still several months away for me. But glad to see that the interview process doesn't seem too time-consuming or challenging.

Wow. So today they cashed the checks... We sent off our package on the 17th and they received it on the 20th. I was starting to think that they were going to reject it and send the packet back. What a relief! Btw we sent just two checks. The 1010 combined with the biometrics and then the 355. We also used those black clips that you're not supposed to use to keep the packet together ... probably why they didn't cash the checks as fast as most everyone else... the sad thing is that i stumbled across the USCIS page of "how to put packages together" a day after we sent off our packet. I feel like a dork, but a lucky dork that they didnt reject it woot!

wait... just checked the website again.. it says to use them not binders etc... whatever.. they must have had other reasons then for my checks being cashed WAAAAAAY later than everyone else's. dunno what it would be tho.

Ah ok, phew! Cause I used those for my K-1 and AOS and everything in between!

We mailed in our AOS stuff and got our NOA1 on 7/29... with a Biometrics appt for 8/31. We can go in to the local office earlier than expected, can't we?

I sent off a total of 1365 = 1010 for the I 485 (including the Biometrics) + 355 for the I 130

I know how you feel. I'm just hoping that since I had a bio 2 years ago (I filed for AOS under employment that has seemed to dead end), that maybe they will skip that step. I heard they are only valid for like a year though, but I'm hoping maybe they changed that.
