So my fiance received his packet 3 e-mail from the Sydney consulate on 7/1. I have been gathering the documentation for the I-134 to send to him asap. I seem to have everything in order for that aspect of the packet, however, I am confused by this statement:

Document requirements

Please obtain original documents or certified copies from an appropriate authority, for yourself and all unmarried children under 21 years of age who will accompany you to the United States. All documents that relate to your petition are required, even if they were previously submitted to USCIS with your petition.

Does this mean I need to send him a copy of the entire I-129F packet?

A copy which I do not have, by the way. I never photocopied anything before I sent the packet in. Which I know was very, very stupid. But it's a little too late to correct that now.

It does not specifically state in the instructions that a copy of the I-129F packet is required. I mean, aren't they going to receive a copy of that from the USCIS anyway?

Anyway, I hope someone can answer this.

Thanks,

Ash

They are talking about birth certificates, divorce certs, etc..

Not the 129F.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
