Hey, guys!

Apologize for so many topics, but I went in to my original civil surgeon yesterday to have the paperwork filled out again, since I've received a RFE on my medical as well. At the time, I did not have any evidence that I've had chicken pox as a child and the put Varicella History in the paperwork. The doctor, however, put "the applicant will seek waiver based on a moral/religious conviction." I've written a letter directed to USCIS explaining the situation, to no avail I guess. Well, yesterday, the clinic refused me service and called the cops on my that escorted me out of there. Even with the evidence shown that I did have chicken pox and am immune to it, they insisted I have one vaccine against it still. All the other civil surgeons in the area told me that I do not have to take any at all. I tried telling them that, but they wouldn't listen. I've been very stressed out these couple of days and might have raised my voice a few times and be a little rude to them, so it's not entirely their fault. The receptionist did, however, lie to me over the phone, telling me that some regulations have changed, etc. I've confirmed this as false by calling others in the area. She said she even called the MO and Oklahoma City offices to confirm this.

I have a copy of the original paper work and don't know what to do now. I will try calling the other civil surgeons in the area, and see if they can help out. I don't have the funds to afford a new physical. What should I do, guys? Can I file a complaint?

Thank you!

P.S. any other way I can reach uscis by phone or mail, except for the one already listed on their website?

Complaints don't really achieve anything, as far as I understand. You also mention that you have original paper work but don't know what to do. What original paper work are you talking about? I read your post a couple of times, and after reading it a couple of times, all I can advise is, you won't really gain much by complaining about the civil surgeon. You can do a search on the forum, and I believe others will say the same. Also, if you need help on anything else, maybe you might want to clarify the situation and your question(s).

So what is the problem? USCIS didn't accept your form?

Follow the instructions on the RFE and you will be fine. Are you missing a vaccine? Then get it. I'm not sure what the problerm is, it's very simple to understand. I can see why they called the cops, yyou are coming across as a pushy pain in the a**. If you don't like the service, go to a different clinic. Instead of writing letters, do something useful and go get that vaccine.

BTW, You don't need a second shot of anything. To send in AOS, you just need to get the first dose in the series, you don't have to complete a vaccine series.

The RFE just has a generic statement asking me to complete form i-693 by a designated civil surgeon. Nothing about the one I submitted.

I can see why they called the cops, yyou are coming across as a pushy pain in the a**

pain in whose ####? all I wanted from them was a properly signed i-693, that's it. i went to another civil surgeon in the area, and they pointed out that i was missing hepatitis b vaccination history, which the first clinic didn't notice. My main complaint was that they tried to make me take a varicella vaccine, even though I showed them evidence that I've had chicken pox as a kid.

If you don't like the service, go to a different clinic. Instead of writing letters, do something useful and go get that vaccine.

I've already paid them money for their "service", and you are telling me to just forget about it? nice advice....

I give you that advice because it seems that you can resolve your problems in a respectful and courteous (adult) manner (the police had to be called), so maybe it's better that you just go elsewhere.

I did not deny that I got a little heated, but nothing that warranted police to be called. I was not satisfied with the services that they've provided me with and wanted to sort things out. The receptionist ended up telling the cops a totally different story from what she's told me while I was there, hence my complaint. I will end up going to a different clinic, just have to find the rest of the records. All I am asking people on this board, is to help me find a good place to write my complaint to.

After reading on some stuff, I have a question. Are Hepatitis A and B shots required? I have #1 series of A, but no indication of B (even though it was a major requirement when i got accepted into college here) in the records that I have.

p.s. i am 21 yrs. old

I don't think either of the Heps are required, but check.

As far as proving you had chicken pox, have a blood test done to show antibodies for it. If its positive, then you don't need the chicken pox vaccine.
