If it's legible.

Hey friend

look at my file do the same, what i did you will be ok,DO NOT DO WRONG WAY OK,

GOOD LUCK

John

Here is the exact wording: Divorce/Death Decree: Submit a complete legible copy of the final divorce/death decree issued by the civil authorities (registered or recorded by the county, state, country, or province) and signed by a judge or a legal authority showing the following prior marriage(s) were legally terminated: between xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

the document I have from my fiance is an official document that had to be gotten and paid for from the local government building. It is signed by some sort of person there and shows the marriage was terminated legally on xxxx date.

I am assuming this will be good enough?

I have already made arrangments to have it translated into english.

Be sure the copy you send back is signed by the judge . We got a RFE cause I accidently sent one without the judges signature.

I just received an rfe for more evidence regarding my fiance's divorce many years ago.

it states they need a "legible copy" of said decree. Will a faxed or scanned and emailed copy suffice?

thanks in advance!

Yes, IF it is legible! It must also be translated. If you already provided a translation then just give them a legible copy of the certificate. Scanned and emailed seems to work better IMHO.
