hi people i am new on this website.

trying to figure out how things work on this website.

hope you are all doing great.

i am new on this forum and need some information.

i am going to leave pakistan for usa on 10th of july.port of entry will be washington dallas.i have these questions please guide.

1.do we need any pictures with us at port of entry?(i heard someone saying we need some pictures at port of entry, side posed and normal 2x2)

2.how long i can stay in pakistan after i get back to pakistan after getting the green card?(actually i have to come back to pakistan after getting the green card because i have to take care of property and have to complete two semesters of my study.i have heard some people saying its one year and some people saying its 6 months).

4.in case the answer is one year to the above question should i apply for re-entry permit?

3.do we need pictures for green card or we will have to go to an office and they will take pictures there like NADRA in pakistan do?

our case is F4(brothers and sisters of US citizens) my aunt applied for my mom and i and my siblings are derivative beneficiaries.

You would have needed to send in pictures with the initial application (or US embassy would have sent you an updation request)

I don't think so; many do ask questions not in VJ's purview (unfortunately, the name of the site "Visa Journey" lends itself to such misinterpretation), as in the OP's case here.

i am not in the US right now.

i will in US by the end of this week.

my visa is immigrant visa and thanks to my mother as a derivative and being under age i can also accompany her.

she told me the visa type was F4(brothers and sisters).

i checked on government's website it says i can remain outside of america for one year after entering.

and i dont get what people are typing.

hello people are you out of your mind

i asked an immigrant related question and what are you typing on this forum.

wake up!!

If you have a green card (or receive one in the future), you can leave the US for up to about a year and not lose it. You will need to apply for a re-entry permit if you plan to be gone more than 6 months. The 6 months and 1 year time frames are not solidly defined (as far as I know). Any long time away from the US is a risk.

I wonder if he really kills Taliban as his name states. Maybe he could stop off in Thailand on the way and take care of some of my un-finished business.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
