Okay, here is my gripe... EMO violated TOS and in my opinion the offensive post should have been removed and that individual banned... however, I am beginning to disagree severly with some of these threads being locked.

There is still valuable discussion and expression of opinion going on that is NOT in violation of the TOS of this board. Bigotry is a HUGE issue, a social pariah, and something we are facing much more then many on VJ.

I remain hopeful that all the other tommy rot going on in the other forums is either handled the same way and not just on this forum. Yes, we deal with socially sensitive issues on the ME/NA forum. But I think we still have our right to express our topics and our opinions as long we don't violate TOS.

I'm REALLY beginning to get steamed at how things are becoming, but Ewok if your reading... I have all respect for the monumental task you have at hand...

Just don't choke us off in the process. Thank you for your hard work.

I may get some eye-rolls, but I'll say it anyway. We were forbidden to speak of the "incident" which I agreed with in theory, but basically that made most of us repress and swallow some pretty strong feelings. I know it did for me, and I am angry and it feels good to put a voice (and one that Im trying to remain level with) and some reason behind it and get it out of my system.

Yes, it is going to snowball. I said it when it happened. It's inevitable. It will snowball and then crumble. Hopeful a few individuals here will be more awake to their own opinions and prejudices. This is what happens when injustice in thought and action becomes socially fashionable towards another group. People don't THINK, they just follow the herd. I am not a herd follower. I never have been. Most of the people responsible for this doo doo are not even aware of what they are doing. It's just the "in thing" to do.

I'm not supporting terroristic actions... on any level. That includes in a chat forum. We as a nation are at war, and for the present administration to continue legitamizing it, this present mentality is fed and fuelled because it is serving a purpose. I pray to Allah that this chapter in this nation's history comes to an end soon and we remember what founded this nation in the first place. I hope we can move on and grow and remember what it was that made this such a wonderful place.

Icey, I wish he could. I worry about him navigating those huge airports. It would be nice if he could travel with a seasoned traveler.
