Good Morning to all...

I hope that it will be a good day for everyone in all aspects...as for me I am off to a job interview with the US Court of Appeal and God willing will get some positive feedback and will get called for a second interview...Life is busy since Jamal got here back in April...but I love it every minute of it...we saw the Macy's Fireworks - first time for both of us and just loved it...I am loving my new life even tho I don't get much sleep...we both love to be out and about at night and there is no better place to enjoy night time sightseeing then NY..to all have a great day.... :luv:

Good Luck Dorothy on the job interview. I am glad things are going great for you guys. Inshallah, soon I will know what you are feeling. Cant wait!! I keep asking Hachem, when you pick up your visa, when are you coming, and he just says as soon as possible. He doesnt want to say anything until he has his visa in hand.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good luck on the job Dorothy!

Meriem, the consulate said 1 week for Amed to pick up the visa, but it took 2. Don't get too stressed. I e-mailed them after the 1 week mark and they were really good about writing me back.

Hope everyone has a lovely day! The weekend is almost here, and Sunday's the big world cup match! Allez les bleus!

Good luck to everyone waiting on visas. Hope you get good news soon!

Good luck, Dorothy. It sounds like a fantastic opportunity.

Meriem, I just so jealous! You'll be together so soon!

Chi, happy car day!

Hope your having a good day lost and MH.

I just got off the phone with DOS after being on hold 25 minutes. My hands are still shaking. I hate making these phone calls. I talked to a very lovely gal who could tell I was having a meltdown and she went over everything very carefully. "Still pending." It's crazy I know, but I WAS SO RELIEVED. LOL At least it wasn't horrible news. She said there are no problems anywhere, just waiting out the security checks like everyone else. I'm such a ditz. I'm all teared up. I really miss him.

Well, as soon as I can calm down, I have to run some errands. It's really a lovely cool morning here so I'm going to take advantage of it. Tomorrow I'm going to go downtown and figure out how I'm going to get to work and just bum around I think.

ARGH... I wish my hands would stop shaking. Next week I'm telling Mohammed I'm not making the stupid call. It just kills me.

At least the words weren't "Sent back to the United States"... I can handle "still pending"!!!!!!!

The idiotic comments are something I'm thinking about more and more. This is a good learning experience. I'm a firm believer in "knowing and growing" so I'm exploring myself and my own reactions. I also know that the DOO DOO POO POO being kicked around here lately is just the tip of the iceberg. I'll be back in the workforce Monday and will have to listen to all the stupid jokes again. Mohammed has begged me to not take his picture with me and to not speak of "us" in detail. He doesnt' want things to go bad for me. I may be more cloaked then I was previously, but I'm also terribly stubborn and I should NOT have to live my life like a bloody apology just because other people want to act like monkeys. Married life with Mohammed here is going to present this time and again. I'm just honing my skills (which obviously need a lot of honing because yesterday I was pretty angry). Well, ok... I'm still angry. I have discovered my most deep seeded bigotry is towards bigots... yes I am a card carrying BIGOT BIGOT. I need to work on that.
