I expected my NOA2 in January/Feb of this year.....

It's now July...

We are currently seeking Legal action and if things go the way our lawyer expects I would assume the end of August or start of September (about 12-13 months from when we filed)

But I will believe it when I see it.

One thing I have learnt from this process, don't ever expect anything, hope it will be painless and be grateful if you get everything sorted in the "suggested" 6 month timeframe, because there are a lot of people with stories like mine or worse.

AMEN to that. And I'd add, don't celebrate [too much] until the spouse is actually over here. It's awful to hear stories of people that get SO FAR in the process and then some hickup happens.

Sorry to see that your case is taking that long, Chris & Mara.

Expect a little more than the worse case scenario. And then if anything better happens you will be surprised instead of half way on the road to a mental asylum.

While we were waiting for NOA2, we played a little game of guessing when ours would arrive. I guessed around March 14th, the Ides of March, but it ended up coming two weeks earlier on Feb. 27th, 129 days from NOA1.

My fiancée has now been in America for a little over a week and things have been wonderful so far! It took us about 9 months total from filing to arrival, but it was worth every second of waiting; We are the happiest two people alive!

I believe that the time people are apart during the visa process is quite telling of the rest of the relationship; patience, understanding, care, humor all indicate a very healthy relationship that shall likely persevere through the challenges of life together in contrast to anger, fear, impatience, doubt, etc. that might indicate that things may not bode so well in the future. Though my fiancée and I had already been together for four years when we filed, we have grown considerably throughout this process and I am grateful for it.

All the best to those waiting. May your journey be joyful.
