Ok our situation is/was unique, in that when I had my interview on the 11th of June, I wasn't told yes, but I wasn't told no either. I was asked to wait and give them two weeks to decide as they needed to do their "homework" and check with homeland security.

Well two weeks TO THE DAY they called me....NEVER thought it'd be a phone call...and told me that I was approved and would I send in my passport. I then overnighted it to them and know for a fact that they recieved it on June 26th at 7:21am.

My question then is...how long will I have to wait for my passport to find its way back to me!?!? I wanna get going and be with my husband!!!

Oh sorrry

We applied in May of 2003 for the I-130 Visa...sent to Nebraska

They lost my paperwork and I noticed it when I checked on the website and they were processing dates much later than my own...so I called them and they admitted they'd lost it in the shuffle.

It was then sent to California in June of 2006

Then sent to NVC in July of 2007

Finally got all my paperwork and fees done in Feb of 2009

Interview in Montreal June 11th, 2009

Approval phone call June 25th, 2009

Passport sent June 25th, 2009 and rec'd by them June 26th, 2009

I sent an email today asking what the normal timeline is for this as I'd like to plan travel....no word yet back from them

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg
