Hi, I am an US citizen and I have applied my wife to immigrate to US. She came here in Aug 2005

with K-3 visa and we have filed the I485 (status change). On June 2006, we had went thru

the interview with USCIS, and since then we had not heard from them. It took a long while to

clear the background check, and it did in 2007. Now it has been another 2 yr since they cleared

the background check and the case is still 'under review'. Anyone has similar experience?

What exactly is going on? What can we do to speed up the process? Is hiring an attorney going to help?

How long does this 'under review' can take? And what are they reviewing?

Also, since K-3 status expires in 2 yr, what do we need to do to keep that status? Or do we need

to keep that status at all?

Any help is appreciated.
