I know it was a shock to be actually approved out of Cairo with out AP, I can assure you I was more shocked then any one. Any way it was true, what they said in the embassy that the visa would be in his hands in 2 weeks, It arrived this morning care of DHL. I have no idea how or why the heck we pulled this off to be honest. I did send in almost every thing in the beginning to the USCIS, and then he re-sent his papers in with packet 2 so I'm not sure if that had any thing to do with it or not, out side of that I don't see how we did it but humdulla! Well he will spend Ramadan home with his mom then come September 27th. His mom is old and I am worried he would be a bit depressed should any thing happen, I don't want him to regret not being there, you know?

Well i would love some opinions what do yall think?... how the heck did it get approved with out AP?, I wish i could figure it out so EVERY one of our MENA family's could be approved right away with out any more needless wait.....

And another BIG BIG BIG thank you to EVERY one that was there for me when i was freaking out, and for all the help and answers to some dumb questions i had  I (L) MENA!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!

I guess his name did not get any hit when they were checking on him . which is rare to happen . cause most or maybe all of Egyptian people have common names .

That was my guess. Congrats!

No name hits, that's why! I know another guy that was approved and got his visa within a few days of his interview and he did have a very common first name in Egypt but the other names weren't as common. I wouldn't care, all that I would care is that he is approved!!!! Congratulations!

A met a couple last week that got the same situation! He was approved and got his visa in three days, and he lives in Agamy. So strange. They even gave him an IR-1 visa instead of a CR-1 visa even though they were married only one year.

But a million congratulations!

^WOW! What is going on with these visas? I did read they eliminated the delay for the FBI name checks and the backlog on visas so possibly it's due to that that things are moving faster! Cross my fingers hope to die, I pray, I pray, I pray Waleed gets his visa fast like this and gets to come back with me or shortly afterwards. :clock:

Mabrook on the quick visa in hand, and I am more than happy to say that in your case, I was wrong. :P

However, it is unusual based on past cases coming out of Cairo. Casa seems to be different and the wait time coming out of there has always seemed shorter.

As someone stated, if they really have quickened the FBI check and cleared up the backlog, maybe we can look forward to more of these quick times for visa in hand, and less torture for the couples waiting. :D

erm... Olivia, I know it is just an expression you were using "cross my fingers hope to die" but.... *ahem*.... well......
