Oh! Sorry for the delay... I was of course busy giving news to fiancée, family and friends.

Sooooo.... Pretty well!

The Embassy received the files sent back by NVC. Before me was a women who got her interview cancelled when her file was recalled. Today, they accepted to re-scheduled her interview, in July! Not bad.

As for myself (I did not received packet 3 yet by the time our file was recalled), they have my file too, and accepted that I give right away notice of readiness and DS-230 part 1. They basically can send me my appointment letter with data for medical visit! And their should be no problem scheduling the interview before Sept. 2, wedding date!

Now.... reviewing if I had everything, the woman asked: "Of course, you have your police record for China?"

....??...!!!!...??? :blink::wacko::blink::wacko:

Ok: I'm French, and I went many times to China (studied there, traveled). She basically told me that because my trips there totalize more than a year, I must produce such a document, otherwise the Officer during the interview will most probably refuse to give me my visa!

Can you imagine?

16:40: I ran to the Chinese Embassy.... OUf... still open. But, 1) they can not issue this document in France, one has to be in China, 2) they would not give me a signed statement saying they cannot do it, 3) they would not even give me a signed statement saying that they saw me and that I requested it.

Trying to see if friends in China can help.

It's hell.
