So we decided to select some music for our Registry Office wedding for our guests to listen to while they wait. The rules are...no mention od anything religious  ....that ain't always easy when choosing songs

So here they are...(not that I am excited or anything :P )

TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY.....Savage Garden

YOU AND ME................Alice Cooper

WALK THE LINE............Johnny Cash

NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK.....Mary Chapin Carpenter/Joe Diffie

PERFECT DAY...................Lou Reed

IT'S NOT FOR ME TO SAY.......Johnny Mathis

ADORABLE.........................The Drifters

OK.....there were a few 'heavens' in there somewhere, but hopefully we will get away with that :rolleyes:

(this is my 2nd attempt at posting this...so if two I am not spamming the board  )

 ok after 5 minutes the other one appeared.....*runs off to PM the capt* :o

I dig this!!! Great stuff!!!

Paul and I have dithered over this... so far we have only agreed on 1 song Since I've Been Loving You by Led Zep

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

Have you ever thought about making each guest a cd? They have these really neat disc labels that you can personalize & you can do a piccie of you and hubby on the front cover too....

I'll get you more details later, running off to work right now

Those sound great Welshie! I'm still working on the music for the ceremony and the wedding is tomorrow! AUGH!!!! It's been hard to come up with something, yet I know there are tons of songs out there. It just has to "grab" me...yanno?

I'm walking down the "aisle" (it's a garden wedding) to Dan Fogelberg's "Longer Than". Joel's aunt wrote and recorded a song just for us so we're finding a special place in the ceremony for that too. Plus some Native American music for the Blanket Ceremony. A little Kenny G...a little classical...and some good ol' classic rock and roll for the reception. :)

OMG...it's tomorrow y'all!!!! I get to be Mrs. Joel Pothier tomorrow!!!! (feels faint all of a sudden) :luv:

Lisa that is a grand idea thx

It is hard to choose just a few songs esp when you have a huge selection and varied tastes......you should have seen some of the choices that were scrapped after an evening of drinking  Ozzy didn't make it...
