Hey Jax. Have you tried to get a visitor visa for her? A former yardie VJer filed for her husband's grandmother to help with their baby and she was granted one. It's working out for them so far.

Our 10 year green card told almost a year. Things are good on this end. Take care.

A few weeks ago, we were talking about cheap laptops. The main con of netbooks is that they don't have CD & DVD drives. Well, eMachines has come out with a laptop that costs the same as a netbook, but it DOES have the drives and is more powerful than netbooks.

Justucia, it sounds like you're not going to the interview. If that's so, how do you feel about it? I'm trying to decide on whether to go. It was always the plan for me to go, but that would leave me with only 1 vacation day for the rest of the YEAR.

Just some information: When waiting for your ten year green card you can still go to Jamaica. Just take the letter saying that the 2 year card has been extended. We waisted our time and went to Chicago to find this out. Because no one would answer the phone at immigration and it was all voice automated so all we could do was schedule a time for our question. Can't wait for immigration process to be over.

Kimora is such a smart sweet child. She cracked me up. And Thalia is a good baby. Anyone in my family will tell you I don't hold babies...I love 3+ and up. But she was so good. I forgot how soft babies are...and smell so good. Maybe I'll try for another one

I think the last time a reggae artist came to St. Louis was in 1971 when Bob Marley and Wailers came to town.

I saw some guy down at Broadway Oyster bar a few months ago. Forget where he said he was from in JA.

Question.....What is the average wait time to receive the Green Card after you have received the EAD card? and also can he travel on the green card to Jamaica without a visa? We are planning to visit this December.

The visa is actually voided when you marry. And, yes, the GC is all you need to travel. Well, plus passport, of course.

BTW Dillon, how are you doing? How are you handling being the only "chauffeur" in the household? Any ideas on how to get hubby a license or permit before the greencard? HELP!

No clue on how to get that but he just drives anyway.

As far as I have been able to tell, here in St. Louis, NO WAY IN HELL to do that before Green card. In fact, they wanted so much freakin' information to get it, it wasn't even funny......BC, GC, Passport, a piece of mail with his address on it.....St. Louis is downright ridiculous with this.

Wouldn't even allow him to take the tests without it.
