Here's the link to this Sunday www.jamaicadayreggaefestival.com.

I've never seen Yellow Man in concert but for the same price I'll rather see Beres plus it's closer to us..

Damien is crazy...pay him no mind. We sat right next to Yellow Man at a restuarant in Kingston the night before our interview. I had to keep kicking Damien under the table cuz he couldn't stop staring at the man.

Well, he's not easy to look at and he's factey (according) to some friends of mine --

sus; talking about songs remember this one

Zungguzungguguzungguzeng

Zungguzungguguzungguzeng

Seh if yuh have a paper, yuh must have a pen

and if yuh have a start, yuh must have a end

seh five plus five, it equal to ten

and if yuh have goat, yuh put dem in a pen

and if yuh have a rooster, yuh must have a hen, now.

Zungguzungguguzungguzeng

Zungguzungguguzungguzeng

that one has to be 25+ years old. i remember my hippie parents listening to that one when i was in elementary school..

do you guys beleive its unrealistic for ppl of certain differing cultures to try to make a marriage work? i know different strokes for different folks but do u think its highly unlikely that ppl from certain cultures will last long as a union?

I think there may be certain obstacles. But, then again, life is full of them and people make them work every day.

morning yardies

TIRED very tired! :sleepy:

 We can only imagine why...

Think it depends on the culture. But I bet the union would be very drama-filled if, say, the lady is from some wild & free culture and the man is super conservative.

Would it be a MENA thread?

yellowman was here a couple of weeks ago.. i just wanted to go cuz we HARDLY get any reggae acts here.. Glen Washington was here not long ago.. im like u kk, WHY is keri hilson on that line up..

DADA.. notice.. i say why am IIIII just now hearing about it lol.. me and u both are on vj u could at least sent me a pm :crying::rofl:

girl.. i told roger about that friend and he did not like that situation AT ALL!!!

guys we are talking bout our friend just married a few mnths ago and not ready to give up her annual trip to JA.. i think its a combo of not ready to give up ur single life and resentment of having to bear the burden carrying the household.. GIRLS just wanna have fun i guess LOL

I'm sorry love your right I should have told you. Plz forgive me!!!! (F)

Becuz he knows just like we do what's up. I talked to her for a minutes yesterday and I told her when she said I do that means giving up your single life. You can't run through the daisies like you used to. I mean if she wanted to go for a couple of days I could see that but 10 days?? Now that's wrong and especially to JA where there is a past. I think if you want your marriage to be strong and healthy you have to do right. Going into temptation this early is only asking for trouble.

But you know what I blame the hubby too. He needs to put his foot down and say hell no you’re not going for 10 days. Just my two cents!

EXACTLY..what i said!.. he is too dyam nice to be married to her.. she need somebody that will FIGURETIVELY.. "lay the smack down"... but maybe its just cuz he is still adjusting, pretty soon, he will get a "voice" .. I HOPE.. roger say poor riete..

OH...she doesn't want to take him along. Hahahaha I could see the other ladies huffing and puffing and carrying on..if she brings her new husband.

No she doesn’t want him to go period. She is going through the adjustment stages as well. Her hubby is from another country (not JA) and well times are tough for her carrying the household and all and she feels like if she does all this why cant she spend her money on her. She has taken two trips with him since he has been here and now she wants to take one by herself. But she knew this was what she was getting herself into being the sole provider for a few months and now that she is faced with it she is complaining. But I don’t think he does much around the house so that might be adding to her frustration as well. I don’t think he’s handy with his hands nor does he cook and clean so it’s a lot on her shoulders but its not like he did these things before so you cant blame him now.

She says she works to go on vacation. Like how some of us work to shop or pay bills she works for vacation and I agree with her because I do too. My point is if you need some alone time pick and another island. See she had to make a choice whether to marry someone from Jamaica or this guy from another island and she chose him. Why go back to the island where you know your other love is and for so long. Now you can avoid bumping into that person if you only went for a weekend but 10 days man there is no way you’ll fight temptation so long especially when you have so many fond memories of that person on the island.

She has a GF getting married in the Bahamas in August. I told her that is the trip she should take by herself. You still get the sun and fun without the temptation and you won’t be gone so long. Me personally I think she is frustrated with the situation. They didn’t date that long before they married so maybe they have some kinks that are hard to work out but to me running isn’t going to solve it you have to face them head on.

Playa u a turn?

Or just weighing ur options?

Nah....just happened.

One is my highschool sweetheart. He found me on classmates. The other is the BIL of his best friend from highschool. Ironically, they play softball together on Sunday nights.

For the love of Saint Mary Agnes if people got something to say….. Say it already and stop beating around the bush. I can truly see why most woman have more males friends than woman. Sometimes woman can be so petty. I could have sworn I was a grown rass woman talking to grown rass people but I tell you who let the de pickneys pon de computer all day long? Its like move on already what's done is done its ova!!!!!!

What happened?

And, yeah, I feel the same damn way almost every day. (note: not anyone on here)

Clearly I missed something...oh well... I won't be trying to go back to catch up...so if it's ova...it's ova :unsure:

She never spilled what it was, KK. No use looking.

we were in Home Depot yesterday getting another machete, because my husband is so hard on them. He says the machete that they have in the states too flimsy and weak. I have one that I got in Jamica in 1992, but someone made that for me and he's not about to use that to chop down nothing. I came home yesterday and almost drove past my house, he did an excellent job.

Was there a fresh grave in the back yard from Marcel catching the vegetable thief?

Thank you for sharing JG.

Now, you know we don't always see eye to eye (probably NEVER will lol), but one thing I have ALWAYS admired about you is that you don't put up with bulls*it.....You are a strong woman, a caring woman and I know you will find a man worthy of you one day.

I agree. Couldn't imagine being in that situation. JG handled it well

Not really. I yelled and screamed and cussed and broke down more then once. But, in the end, what really is the point to doing any of that?

alright ells..i hear ya..maybe a bigger bed will help u in the mornings LOL

shemmy!!! missing u for some reason..how goes it?? damien better stop working for a second and go enjoy life!!! lol.. girl if i was down there, i would go w/ u.. u know i would be there in a heartbeat..used to rolling solo

Awww thanks. He's not working but focused on spending money for JA plus he wants to go shopping. My friends are losers...that's all.

Sometimes it's better that way. I get so tired of entertaining others. It's just easier and more fun by yourself sometimes.

i LOOOVVVEE going out alone for that same reason.. i don't like trying to be hostess and make sure everybody likes the spot or is enjoying themselves.. i usually let ppl know where im going and its up to them to decide to join or not.. some friends are not gonna have a good time unless the stars are aliigned perfectly.. too much pressure LOL

it really does work well in some situations. i have a good friend whose husband stays home and takes care of the kids but unless you make big money, you have to be willing to live a simple life...

I just got off the phone with her because I told her we were discussing her on VJ. U know me I don’t talk about you behind d your back I told her to log on to see what I said and she was like child please I don’t care. She is so laid back.

So get this you know he was supposed to leave Thursday well now she might be going Monday to next Sunday. She said her hubby told her its o.k. go… Umm so does he want to get rid of her too?? I am worried about them I really really want them to work but I’m not sure. They both are so laid back. To me they seem like Best Friends instead of Best Friends/ Lovers… And she talked to Daddy D yesterday.. Cho!!! I cover my eyes because this doesn’t look good. (As I shake my head)

I personally think she is a very outgoing affectionate person and your right like me we need men who aren’t afraid to tell us to sit yuh rass down. I know I need a man with a little authority or else I’ll run all over yuh. Dat is what me lubbed about mi Roc. Boy that man didn’t play. Just when I thought I was about to run all ova him he was like Nope!!!! LOL
